True, but blow off tops can last for a while and go higher than anyone imagines possible. Canāt see this ending until there is evidence of a recession, which could now be a year away at leastā¦ or a major black swan like Republicans opposing Trumpsās agenda, which is now very unlikely given his popularity has just shot up.
The quickest way to go broke is to be right too early.
The cracks will appear when Trump has to put forward his budget. The reality of the impossibility of cutting taxes and increasing spending, will hit home eventually
If they can entice corporations to repatriate the $2T thatās held offshore and tax it at 10%, thatās a good start.
I agree though, many Republicans now have little stomach for piling on more debt. Democrats want the $1T infrastructure bill though, so in reality it could pass with a minority of Republicans supporting it. The only way to realistically pay for it is if there is a ramp in economic growth, to say 4%+ GDP. I wouldnāt want to bet the farm on that.
