What kind of sentence would you have given them? Few stupid kids acted the bollix and it ended in tragedy. Would you prefer to lock them up and throw away the key? If they had been African American would you be as angry about the sentence?

The differing attitude on this forum to both alleged and convicted rapes by men of different ethnic backgrounds has been very, very instructive indeed.
They were 13/14 years of age. I like you have no idea what was going through their mind at the time but its not uncommon for kids that age to act impulsively and do stupid shit with no regard for the consequences. This had very extreme consequenes. As far as i can tell from that article they are in a juvenille detention facility and their time there can be extended. Id be saying the same thing no matter the colour of the childâs skin. Are you familiar with Ohioâs youth justice system? ⌠how they deal with sentencing young people for serious crimes? Id say youre not. Youâre assuming that judge would have passed down a different sentence if the kids were of a different skin colour but in reality you have no clue.
