Queer obviously.
You mean Donald Trump who just rejected neo Conservatism, the US policy of nation building for decades & US interventionism without genuine international coalitions?
The candidate who had a gay man as one of the top billed speakers tonight? The one who has had his major introduction speech talked about getting women to work tonight? The candidate who has mentioned african americans and latinos as the major victims of globalism? The one who who has defended the LGBT community on stage?
You arenāt seeing the āNurembourg Rallyā, youāre just in fear that heās flanking the Dems on their core issues which they think they have sown up. Your girl Hillary will be seething.
This is an amazing night.
Sounds like the Dems missed out on their perfect candidate.
Onto Trade now, this is where heās at his best.
And despite what the clowns in the lib media think, where he won the primaries.
Liberal media are running for cover. MSNBC looking desperately for a nugget to grasp and basically resort to sprouting gibberish. Trump hit it far out of the park, it hasnāt even landed yet. It will tomorrow when it settles in what Hillary is up against. A beautiful all American New York sophisticated family against a lying, cheating, thieving āfamilyā from Hicksville. The debates are going to be carnage, he will make shit of her. Bill is her only hope, but Bill looks so fucking tired.
Iād pretty much agree with all of that. The liberal media have been creaming themselves over the Michelle Obama speech thing for the last few days, not realising it was a 1 hour story that got overtaken very quickly.
Trumpās speech was brilliant, hit all the right buttons for the baying mob, said all the right things that people want to hear, delivered forcefully. Even had the Ivanka pre-amble version of a kinder, gentler Trump so succour the doubters.
Trump will get a huge boost in the polls now and Hillary is up against it, she needs to deliver big at the Dems convention.
But the thing is this - I could write that speech, any of us here could write that speech. Most of us could probably, with a baying crowd and 50 Stars and Stripes flags behind us in a huge arena and screen, deliver that speech.
Itās easy to say these things. Thereās every chance Trump will be president. But what will actually happen on January 20th 2017? Nothing, thatās what. He has no idea how he will deliver these promises. Nothing is costed. No actual plans have been outlined. But you donāt have to. You just have to push the right buttons to activate the basest instincts and prejudices of people, to tap into their grievance, to find the objects of blame, point the anger in the right direction, channel it for your own ends. And then hey presto, youāre president. The debates will be a joke, Hillary will try to outline reasoned policies, Trump will shout her down and launch a barrage of slogans, people will listen to the slogans and not the policy because theyāre stupid. And then hey presto, youāre president.
So what then? Nothing.
Not that Trump cares, he couldnāt give a shit. Itās a massive exercise in narcissism, thatās all this is. He wonāt fix anything, because he doesnāt want to, that would probably involve work and thought.
Hillary wouldnāt be much better and sheāll face the same right wing loons Obama has, so nothing will change there either.
The only hope here is that the next president, whichever of these two horrible people it is, will be so bad that Americans might actually want a president who actually has a plan. By that time the nation might be utterly divided though, I doubt anyone can fix it. America is ucked now, itāll be some clusterfuck in four years.
America is over lads. Trump pretty much said so himself, itās all inward looking now, fuck everyone else. Well fuck you lot as well. Iām off to learn Mandarin.
You were doing well until you said Hillary will outline reasoned policies. Her biggest problem is she hitched her wagon to Obama during the primaries and itās going to be really difficult to change tack now. If she doesnāt though, Trump will shred her as if thereās anything the electorate agree on its that Obama (popular as he may be as a person), has been a really poor president domestically and internationally.
Trump still has it all to do to get elected though. Itās one thing delivering a well written teleprompter speech, itās another keeping on message during the debates and buildings a presidential image. Tonight was a good start, but he still has a lot to do. I would prefer to be in his shoes than hers though, she will be fighting a rearguard action, defending Obamaās record and her own.
Policies are all she has, as there is absolutely no charisma, no charm, no humour, no personality. She went to Wellesley ffs. But no one will listen to the policies. Much easier to listen to some fuckwit justify the views they are too scared to say out loud, to voice their prejudices and make them right. Heās the candidate Nixon wanted to be.
The more I think about it, the more Iām convinced heās going to win. So I may well just leave it here, as itās just too unbelievably depressing to think about (Iām sure youāll miss me Tim, though Iām not promising anything).
Hereās a prediction - Trump wins, then mid 2018, sick of the criticism from all sides, sick of the fact that he hasnāt actually done ANYTHING, bored with everything, a bit concerned at the charges against his son (itās a package folks, Trump Jnr is going to have a field day when daddyās the press), he resigns, saying heās had enough and they donāt deserve him. The greatest hissy fit in history.
No you couldnāt.
I wasnāt aware Slovenia was part of the American continent, pal, but then again I suppose geography has never been a strong point for Republicans.
It isnāt. But Melania has been American since 2006, so Iām not sure what your point is.

Oh, I think you are, pal.
Oh, I think you are, pal.
Thanks mate. That means a lot coming from you.
Whatās this? Your girlfriends CV again?
This is the end of the American empireā¦ If the best they can throw up is Trump and H Clinton then itās over.

That could be the most relevant point of all. Trumpsās vp choice is underwhelming. And who could he have for the key government roles?
The US seems to have reached a point of stagnation. The country needs all those immigrants
Surprising anti-immigrant rhetoric pal, is the mask slipping?
Melania has lived legally in the US since 1996, and became an American citizen in 2006. In the eyes of the law she is as American as anyone born here.

She is not
Could she be President ?
As a naturalised US citizen her citizenship can be revoked unlike somebody born in US.
The numbers donāt add up with your obama is a shit president line. In fact i saw numbers a few months ago which put him near the best.
Of course there is only so much and president can do. Its obvious now that its almost as useful as Michael Dās job.
For all practical purposes the law treats all citizens the same. The burden of proof on the government for denaturalisation is extremely high, and its rarely pursued, you would essentially need to join the Nazi party or start a branch of ISIS.
On the qualifications for president, its actually a murky legal area and has never been ruled on by the supreme court (ānatural born citizenā has never been defined, leading to the controversies over McCain and Cruz). At face value she wouldnāt qualify as neither of her parents to my knowledge were US citizens.
