I also recall Obama being very publicly frosty with Putin at one of those summits, must have been after Crimea was invaded or maybe it was after MH17 was shot down by a Russian missile.

Of course he sucked up to Putin, heās Putinās man, the kompromat with Russia goes back to the 70s almost certainly. Heās talked to Putin on the phone seven times since 2021. Heās Putinās man like Farage and Sergey Lavrov are Putinās men.
Trump is a fascist to the core but he admires dictatorship of any hue. If he gets in heāll take America effectively into the Russia/China geopolitical camp.
What will not change and only massively ramp up is Americaās support for Israel. If Trump gets in weāre looking at the genocide of the West Bank and Lebanon in addition to Gaza and quite possibly the US being involved in a war on Iran.
Thereās no real way of knowing exactly how that pans out but but it can only lead to disaster.
Trump is showing distinct signs of early onset dementia lately. I didnāt really take this notion seriously until a short time back but the signs are too obvious to ignore now.
