When do you more or less know whoâs won in relation to voting day? What was that night it looked like trump had won and it suddenly swung against him the last time. I went to bed he had won and woke up he had lost.
My uncle in America sent on this and I punched the air in delight for him on my way to work. The uncle died since heâll be rotating in his grave when Trump wins.

There have been some bizarre switches in some recent polls. Quinnipiacâs polling of Michigan flipped by a sizeable margin (seven or eight point swings in a couple of days I think) from Harris to Trump and then back to Harris.
IBD Tippâs poll has swung from Harris to Trump and now back to Harris.

We donât know when weâll know who has won. We could know by 3am or 4 am or 5am or it could take a day or a few days or week or weeks.
At 3am last time it looked very like Trump was going to win. From around 3am on Biden started to steadily claw back ground and by 6am he looked the more likely winner. By the following afternoon that had hardened. By the Wednesday night it was all over bar the shouting because the patterns were clear.
There probably wonât be as much early voting to count this time. Some states count at a different pace.

I think it was the postal ballots coming through that swung it the last time. I clearly remember going to bed and trump was long odds on with paddy power and waking up and it had gone the other way. Trump had come out and made that graceless speech about stop the steal or something and you knew he was a beaten docket.
@Tierneevin1979 called it with absolute precision- trumpâs early wins would mean nothing in the final count
Trump will declare victory at approximately 10pm EST on November 5, irrespective of reality in results and voting continuing in Western States, chalk it down.

The smart people ploughed into Biden at roughly 3:26am on November 4th. I made a nice few quid for virtual pints in a virtual pub betting on him to win overall and to win Pennsylvania and Georgia around this time.

I thought Trump had it last time out but then they wheeled out the postal votes and he go ahead. Iâm not saying it was rigged or staged but I thought the way it was handled could have been better. The Trump people certainly jumped on it as an example of how the election was fixed.
They would jump on anything to claim the election was fixed. As @Bod95 says, Trump will claim he has won whatever happens and that was the case in 2020 as well and would have been the case in 2016 too. Trump was well beaten in 2020.
Should Harris win the election, the fight to get the presidency will be only just beginning.
