A lot of people are saying the poll in Iowa is down to the ban on abortions after six weeks.
But look at Texas.
Abortion in Texas is illegal in most cases.[1] There are nominally exceptions to save the motherās life, or prevent āsubstantial impairment of major bodily functionā, but the law on abortion in Texas is written in such an ambiguous way that life-threatening or harmful pregnancies do not explicitly constitute an exception.[2][3][4] Attempts to clarify and codify these exceptions into law have been rejected by Republican lawmakers in Texas.[5]
This has resulted in some expectant mothers with health problems being forced to carry until birth, jeopardizing their health,[2] even resulting in deaths.[6][7] Some pregnant women leave the state to seek an abortion elsewhere, with an estimated 35,000 women crossing Texas state lines for legal abortions in 2023.[8] Anyone who aids or abets an illegal abortion in Texas can be sued for wrongful death.[9] In March 2023, a Galveston man sued three friends of his ex-wife for wrongful death after they helped her obtain illegal abortion pills that were used to terminate her pregnancy.[10] The lawsuit was dropped on October 10th 2024 as part of a confidential settlement with the defendants.[11]

I think Biden has ruined his legacy. Heās probably turned the countryās economy around and was a good president other than on this issue. I do think Harris will shift a bit, but probably not enough.
Most of the Democratic party is uncomfortable with current level of support for Israel. The policy has been set by Biden and who has been, at best, extremely misguided and at worst a fucking psychopath. Ultimately the US is in Israelās camp but a different administration could well have approached very differently.
There have been 26,000 rapes in Texas the last 18 months.

Yeah, seems crazy as the stat about pregnancies suggest its way more, if there were 15k reported though and only 25% get reported its possible

No administration will chance the policy on Isreal, definitely at grassroots the Democrats have more people whonwant to change that, but at the top they wont
The US will overall back Israel but thereās lots they could have done to restrain Israelās worse excesses over the last year and I believe a different Democrat administration would have done more.
