Iām not so sure about that for a couple of reasons.
A. Whatever about Biden , itās way too late for Trump
B, Trump is too much of a narcissist to pull out
C. If they were somehow able to get rid of Trump, who are they going to go for?
D. Thereās probably a few moderate republicans who would like to see Trump defeated. It would be the end of it and would give the republicans a chance to reset
The democrats have to dump joe asap. No-one believes heās running the joint, and no one will believe harris if she says otherwise. She will also have to defend his/her record of disastrous foreign policy, galloping inflation, and a calamity at the southern border. The media is awash with her being a public prosecutor and trump being a felon. Thatāll wear thin by this time tomorrow.
Have the obamas endorsed her?
Trump has been lucky in his opponents up to now. His luck might just have run out. He now has an opponent where his barbs will be drawn into sharp focus as the vicious racism and misogyny they are.
I donāt see him doing a debate against Harris and I think he will suffer for that.
VP pick is important though, especially so because Trump has given Harris an open goal here by picking Vance. If the Democrats pick Shapiro of Pennsylvania it could be a disastrous choice and taint the whole ticket with genocide again. Knowing the Democratic partyās pathetic political instincts heās the guy theyāll probably push for though. Hillary Clinton made a very poor choice in 2016 when she picked Tim Kaine. He was Mr. Nobody. Kelly would seem a decent enough choice but Buttigieg would completely pulverise Vance in a debate and the bravest choice is usually the best. I think he would push turnout up and the Democrats always need to push turnout up. Iām not sure picking fellas who are unknown nationally like Shapiro or Roy Cooper of North Carolina based on them coming from swing states is a good idea. Thereās usually a reason why people are unknown nationally.
Thats a fair point harry. But i wouldnāt rule out a surprise just yet. Harris has nothing going for her, apart from being presentable on a superficial level. Sheās stone useless, has a track record of fuck all, is an obvious diversity hireā¦not to mention her association with a deeply popular administration.
That said, Trump canāt go after the way he went after hilary. Clinton was a monster who deserved everything he threw at her. If he tries that with harris, heāll come across as a thug. Maybe itāll still be a tight race?
