Venezuela

The yanks finally got their way here. No doubt some of the money saved by starving out their own and denying medical care is being used to find the anti socialist movements. Because thats what the elite really feat in the US.

Christ you really are clueless. A hint should be the two muppets that liked your asinine post.

Before Chavez, Venezuela was the third richest country in South America, it’s now the worst. It wasn’t exactly a bastion of democracy, but it’s now ranked just behind North Korea and Cuba in terms of personal freedom. The socialist utopia has resulted in 1000% inflation, an economy that has collapsed, people fighting in stores and on the streets over scraps of food.

Oil is part of the story, Venezuala was one of the leading oil producers before Chavez. Chavez destroyed the industry and when the workforce objected to his stupid meddling, he fired 20,000 employees, including all the research staff. Way to go genius, they are mostly working in Columbia now which has overtaken Venezuela in oil production and refining.

There’s a reason to fear socialism, it’s a destructive economic system that has laid waste to every economy where it’s been adopted. How many examples do you need? The USSR, Eastern Europe, North Korea, Cuba, many African nations and now Venezuela. There isn’t one example of a country that has adopted socialism as its economic system and had a good result for its population.

The unites states happily embraced economic socialism when it came to bailing out the banks in 2008. Socialism for the rich and capitalism for the poor.

It took FDR’s socialism to save them in the 30’s as well.

And now they have Trump.

When Gerry Adams had that Medical issue that he didn’t trust the Irish health service to deal with, which socialist state did he head to for treatment?

The US of A.

I think i have to refrain from discussing this with someone who thinks Socialism = Communism. FFS

Modern socialism is complex, but people want simple solutions and one worders to extremely complex situations, economies and environments.

You sound like a myopic, government fed ignorant yank tbh. No point in talking to you.

I think you greatly underestimate/are unaware of the issues in the US.

However, its the yanks that caused this.

Wrong.

How did the yanks cause the economic collapse in Venezuela?
The economic collapse in Venezuela is due entirely to the actions of Chavez and his successor Maduro. They have effectively shut down the private sector, through mindless stupidity. You claim to run a small business, how long would you stay in business if your hourly cost to deliver your services was say $20 and the government mandated you can only charge $5 per hour? That’s the level of stupidity that has brought Venezuela to collapse.

I wasn’t debating with you, just pointing out that you’re wrong.

Then explain how I am wrong or fuck off out of another thread you are clueless about.

The US spends $70 billion per year on food stamps, there is no shortage of food, and it is relatively cheap.
There is no food on the shelves in Venezuela.
Stop the difference.
