Setting price controls for food at prices below what it costs to grow it or produce it, and then surprised when there’s no food on the supermarket shelves. Complete idiots.

Nobody is confusing communism and socialism, you nutter. There are many varieties of socialism, and one variety, authoritarian state socialism is effectively communism. That’s also the direction Maduro is hell bent on taking Venezuela.

They don’t want to know Kev. They prefer opinions to anything based on evidence. Nevermind that all research shows that less inequality benefits society on practically every measure, and that their preferred style of government increases inequality.

Economics clearly isn’t your thing. Inequality is mainly due to corruption. Autocratic socialist states are the most corrupt by far (USSR, Eastern Europe, Cuba, Venezuela heading there), and are essentially dictatorships. The preferred system of government and economy is democratic capitalism, which is the only system that has led to prosperity and lifted millions of people out of poverty (China the best example as it abandoned communism and migrated to free market economics). What we have in the US and increasingly in Europe is plutocracies where all major parties / politicians are bought off by vested interests (the wealthiest corporations and individuals, the 0.1%).
