A terrific 8-0 victory for TFK against the heretofore unbeaten Farsenal in Sandymount tonight.
TFK started at a terrific pace and were unrelenting in their pursuit of an emphatic victory.
Credit to Gar for a hat trick and Monkey for some splendid finishing. Rocko and Cesc4 were also among the goals and Bandage and his defensive team can take pleasure in a merited clean sheet.
Some good play and great goals when we passed and moved at pace and we were pretty good in the first half. They didn’t really threaten our goal at all and it was as convincing as the scoreline suggests. It was a world of improvement over last week and Appendage certainly won’t be asked back after his offline criticism of our tactics and the workrate of Rocko and cesc4 in midfield.
Appendage went down an awful lot in my estimation after those comments. They were hurtful, inflammatory and downright disrespectful. Not to mention untruthful.
Anyway that was our best performance of the season tonight. Restricted them to few enough shots, generally kept the pace up and created bags of chances. Could even have scored a few more but we got some lovely goals in the mix anyway.
That was a nice victory last night. Always nice to stick it up to those moany fuckers.
Offensively, that is as good as I have ever seen us. The only other match that springs to mind was a first half against Sophis a couple of seasons back where this team really came of age.
Extremely disappointed with Appendage’s comments as well, but not surprised. He was a maverick on the pitch last week and now it appears he is a maverick off the pitch as well.
I wasn’t criticising the work rate of those individuals because there wasn’t a work rate to criticise. cesc4 lay on the ground for around a minute at one point after fluffing a relatively simple chance, with play having restarted and Sin Nombre on the attack. Rocko’s fine goal and the odd nice touch masked an over willingness to point the finger and not cover for defensive colleagues attacking at pace.
I was impressed the application and attitude of Bandage, farmerinthecity (who bravely played through the pain barrier), Gar and Monkey Allen.
It’s difficult, Appendage. You’re dealing with two incredible egos in Rocko and cesc4.
But Monkey Allen very much deserves your plaudits. I made a comment to Rocko during the game last night after Monkey swept in his second that many Celtic supporters often said about Lubo Moravcik. He’s been a gift from God but imagine we had signed him in his twenties.
