This crowd are 5 points behind us and along with WTS and Senor Frogs would be considered title challengers. A win is vital. I’m full of agression for this evening.
It’s a matter of huge regret for me personally and for my legion of fans nationwide that I cannot participate this evening.
I’d like to thank all the wellwishers who have sent messages of support in this difficult time but having consulted the very best of medical advice I’m resigned to resting my ankle until the new year. (Photographs of its swollen status will be made available if requested).
I will be picking the team later. This is too big a game to leave in anyone else’s hands.
That’s for certain Puke. They’re a spirited bunch of lads and God knows I have them fired up over email but it remains to be seen how they’ll actually perform without a leader by their side.
As I remarked in one of my inspirational emails earlier. “The truth of the matter is that you always know the right thing to do. The hard part is doing it.” (Gen Shwarzkopf). I’ve given them the tools, I’ve trained them, nurtured them, motivated them, inspired them. But I can only ask them to be true to themselves. They have to go out and deliver now.
Went 1-0 in front, lost our way a bit as the decision to start with me on the bench quickly turned into the equivalent of Decca records turning down the Beatles. Conceded late in the first half and early again in the second half to leave us chasing the game. Managed to get an equaliser with about five to go.
Goals came from Cesc4 and Jugs but we missed a hatful of chances.
2-2. We were 1-0 up then 2-1 down before I brought Jugs on and told him to get us a goal, which he duly did. Cesc 4 with the first. A spirited performance and a good game for the neutral I’d have thought.

Jugs scored the second. Were you watching the game? And were you sniffing glue last night?
What division are the A side in?
I was looking at the results and thought we were after being ball-hopped until I realised it was Tuesday Night Rejects results I was looking at.
Lack of goals seem to be the problem for the reserves.
