Vincent Browne
but was it though?
FF stooge sean ardagh got an armchair ride and jan o’sulllivan, the token bleeding heart liberal, kept bladdering on about how it’s all so unfair and if labour were in govt they’d go to the EU and ask to borrow more money.

at least coveney had a few sums done.

vincenzo had his teeth stuck in that particular bone and the remainder of the panel were virtually ignored.
Coveney had no sums done, FG we were told intend increasing tax and cutting expenditures, as Vinnie said, “two lads sitting against a bar tonight could come up with what you’ve just told us”

hang on, he was asked for the breakdown of the 5 billion deficit, he said 2bn in taxes, 2 bn in borrowing and 1 bn in public sector spending. when asked for specifics he mentioned tax breaks, a 3rd rate of income tax and a few others that escape me at the moment.
the point is that he’d more figures than any of the other 3 muppets but was verbally assaulted by vincent, presumably because he didn’t like the soundof his voice. that’s not journalism, that’s just grandstanding.

not my recollection, Coveney hadn’t even the figure of 5m. He was blaming the government for not giving them the figures so Vinnie says you knew it was between 4 and 6, so we’ll say 5.
Coveney thought he was gonna sit there for 10 minutes and stick the boot into the Government as an easy option instead of saying something constructive. That the others had no figures is not the point. The biggest opposition party and potential controllers of this states finances in the near future need to stop hiding and be constructive.
Browne destroyed him and exposed him, that he didn’t do the same to others is besides the point.

Vincent everything that journalism needs to become. For christs sake most ‘journalists’ in this country don’t even force the politicians to articulate a position. They just trot out the usual speel and the journos faithfully jot it down. Sickening.

Even Joey Higgins is taking hits here. I’m glad he asked them to where the public service jobs were going to be cut from. They all ramble on about pen-pushers but there’s never any plan as to how to do it. Organisational restructuring is a massive job and half these clowns seem to think you can just turf people out at random and it’s no bother at all.

Vincent is in top form again tonight. He’s a model of consistency in fairness.

Good God I hate that Fionnan Sheehan fucker.

Higgins talking about an orgy now. Oh dear.

Did anyone see VB the other night with the rep for the Gallagher Group? VB’s agrument on the ills of tobacco v the ills marajuana was off the wall but he was like a terrier with it.

Anyone watching tonight?

Vincenzo keeps saying “Whhaaat??” in a real sceptical, suspicious, exaggerated way to almost every comment his guests make.

Magnificient stuff from the man from Broadford in the County of Limerick.

Why? his combed head? I used to hate him when I saw his byline pic but my stance softened when I heard he was a bogger.

He is always magnificent. I sadly missed the banter tonight but thank god this man has been given this platform. The best thing on Irish tv by a considerable distance.

Was in UCC same time as him, legend goes he failed first arts three times and had to start a new course. Was president of the student union at one point as well, reason enough to hate any cunt.

He is not even 10% now of the geek he was then.

Done well for himself to be fair, hes 32 max

Hes married to this bird as well who is a FF politician or wannabee politician, surely a conflict of interest

Bit of a shambles tonight. Trinity economist and a couple of hardline lefties who weren’t speaking the same language at all. Vincent took a back seat and the show was much the worse for it.

nopt exactly a looker

He is sowing it into Declan Ganley as we speak

Oh Vincent you rogue…

Ganly is some charlaton, didnt answer any of the questions that were asked and intereupted at every oppurtunity. I wonder who is funding this Libertas craic?
