But why does Nolan mention that it’s not the first time it’s happened.
You’d almost think he had it in for us.
and making up stories too for a sensational quote. knob.

Any thoughts on the hurling team for Saturday, chaps?
I’d go with:
Fanning;
Ryan, O’Hanlon, Rossiter;
Shore, Moore, Kenny;
O’Keeffe, Chin, Redmond;
Morris, Doran, McGovern;
McDonald, Jacob.
just searched John Keenan as I hadnt a clue who he was. Search came up for this article where he is referenced -
now I dont believe the above for a few reasons. Firstly, I doubt any of the couple of hundred people at the game would care about an U21 game from 2 years prior that Wexford lost to Kilkenny.
secondly, they were hammered in that game they lost 2 years ago to Kilkenny, and had nothing to do with the ref.
thirdly, he didnt ref the fucking game! Some lad from Carlow did. John Keenan reffed a game in 2011 in U21 that we beat Kilkenny in! So why the fuck would some random football fan go after the ref on Sunday and reference a ref who a) didnt ref a game, or b) did ref a game they won and there was no issues with it!
I love the way he says - its not the first time, they’ve done that down there before, yet in the other article its unprecedented (which is was, and utterly fucking stupid too.)
And a Wicklow supporter at the game? me fucking hole there was. sure we could barely get 500 from Wexford to go. Some job for the paper to find a supporter from Wickow who went to it.
and apparently Anthony Nolan is one of the top refs in the country? I hadnt heard of him before. And a quick search on him on google has at least 3 other games where he is being slated by media in the game report.
as bad and all as Wexford or Flynn was with their shit, he should just shut the fuck up and move on without making up stories and keeping it going.
I seem to recall Bandage was seething after that U21 match.

Didn’t we win that game with 14 men?
A thunder and lightning fest in Wexford Park.
I think I wrote a match report for that game and said Paul Morris scored the crucial goal, getting away from his marker like a lady fleeing a would be rapist.
Someone took offence.
yeah, Sarsfields legend and Fianna Fail TD Tony Dempsey was being criticised for his management for such a heavy loss. Former poster Bandage wasnt going to stand for criticism of him. So he blamed the ref who was in charge of the game a year prior when we won, and thus the Wicklow ref John Keenan was blamed and brought into the mix on Sunday when another Wicklow ref shafted us. The cunts.
Yes that’s how I remember it.
Sarsfields legend is a bit strong Gman. He only coached them for a couple of years has not other connections with them.
Anyone who has any association with that fine club automatically becomes a legend Appendage. Surely you know that by now. I could hardly call him a Davidstown Courtnacuddy legend now could I?
There’s some confusion at play here. I definitely wasn’t seething in 2012 when we were destroyed in Kilkenny. I had a quick read of my match report of the 2011 victory (page 29 of Wexford GAA 2011 thread) and I was seething a little bit. The report still reads okay - I hate looking back at old threads; it’s like a band being a little embarrassed by their early career albums.
It’s meant to absolutely piss rain on Saturday. Hope no Clare supporters are surprised that the ground isn’t covered on all four sides like our Limerick pals back in 2009.
That’d be disappointing. I’m mentally prepared for a balmy summer evening. It was meant to rain down here today also pal and didn’t. This is the sunny south east.
Wexford committee apologises for video release
Colm Keys
A sub-committee of Wexford County Board has issued an apology to Croke Park over the release of footage highlighting some of the frees awarded against their footballers in last Sunday’s qualifier defeat to Laois.
Wexford’s communications and marketing committee has been in touch by letter with the communications department in Croke Park to outline how a slick production, focusing on referee Anthony Nolan’s performance, ended up in the public domain via some of the county board’s official social networking sites.
The footage contains no adverse comment about the referee but allows viewers to make their own judgment on the decisions made.

The action, complete with impressive slow motion replays, is relayed to background music before the noise of the crowd barracking Nolan loudly as he makes his way from the field at the end cuts in for the conclusion.
It is understood the footage was for ‘private’ viewing and was not intended for public consumption.
Croke Park officials made contact with Wexford on Monday evening to express dissatisfaction when the video began to circulate.
Guidelines are in place for what content can be posted on the various official outlets of counties and such an intense focus on a refereeing performance clearly isn’t approved.
The video was put together by an operator used by Wexford GAA for the purposes of analysis and was designed to highlight frees given by Nolan against Wexford which shouldn’t have been.
The video provoked criticism from Wexford player Adrian Flynn who made strong comments on Twitter but subsequently retracted them and apologised to Nolan, stressing how it was “a lot harder to make decisions in real time”.

Of course it’s more difficult to make decisions in real time, how dare you question that - poor form MBB.
Give the poor man a break. He’s suffered enough.
aye, the cheek of those Limerick cants.
I have to say Liam Dunne has played the media splendidly this week. There was likely to be a lot of questions about the teams bottle by throwing the game away on Saturday but he’s kept his mouth shut, apart from the bizarre Bugler story and the county board have helped deflect attention away from him with that football video while Davy has does what Davy does best.
I can see nothing else than a comfortable victory for us tomorrow evening.

Killing Clare with kindness, pal.
Is there more chance of contracting a learning disability or severe detrimental illnesses by being in close proximity to people from Clare tomorrow?
O’Keeffe for Kehoe is our only change for later.
