Wexford GAA 2015

Liam Dunne outā€¦ Sorry Iā€™ve had enough that was a shambles from start to finish tonight and blame goes to the manager. The spare man was Dee Oā€™Keeffe wtf was that all about he isnā€™t a defender surely Moore was the man to do that job with Kenny starting corner back.

What tactics did we show tonight? And why did we continue to play a man back when we were 11 points down???

Something has gone wrong with this team since last year, Dunne decisions just donā€™t make sense martin and dev are subs but yet there is no place for podge Doran what is he at???

I think its a disgrace and we need to luck at hurling in the county. Westmeath beat us in minor this year and I think laois the year before this should not be happening.

The county board needs reshaping from top to bottom there are people there that have jobs for the last 20 to 30 years this canā€™t be right.

I think JJ deserve a go, Liam has brought the team as far as he can go and has done well regarding fitness and organisation but we have no game plan. It needs a new voice.

Thanks for your efforts Liam.

It appears they didnā€™t factor conditions/wind into their thinking when setting out the team tactically too. They were playing with Oā€™Keeffe as a sweeper no matter what and they left them there in the second half too.

Will Big Dave Power try to get DaithĆ Waters into the football squad now or would it upset the tight-knit group heā€™s created?

yeah I commented on that too in the qualifier thread during the game. Dumb shite, 12 points down, playing a sweeper still, and took Conor Mac off the edge of the square. Jacobs point effort at the end was one of the worst things Iā€™ve ever seen him do. 8 down, needs a goal, and he takes a ridiculous effort for a point that goes wide. selfish shit and I havenā€™t a clue what his thought process was to do such a thing.

What did you make of Cork @Bandage @Gman

Very hard to judge as Wexford were septic. But they clearly had a game plan and tactics. What I noticed most was their intention to keep playing cross field balls, it would go from one side to the other with 40 yard gains. Lots of short passing and runners from deep. Didnā€™t always work, execution was off at times, but at least they had something to work to. Lehane was excellent too. His skill level is superb, and to be honest, if he was on the other team, it would be a different story. fitness level looked good too, but when you see the pedestrian nature of Wexfords warm up, it wouldnā€™t be hard to look fitter.

I see Eoin Bradley is playing soccer in Belarus on Thursday night, some trip back for the Wexford game

Any update on a venue for next weekend? Fairly fucking shambolic that the draw was made a week ago and we still donā€™t have a time or confirmed venue. The GAA is an utterly shambolic organisation.

Owenbeg i hear. whereever the fuck that it?

Dungiven I think. On the Derry Belfast road.

Itā€™s their centre of excellence in southeast Derry, fookit I probably would have travelled to Clones

Owenbeg at 2pm according to gaa site.

Are you afraid to travel into British Occupied Ireland, mate?

I donā€™t recognise the border, pal

Itā€™s just too far, I donā€™t think I could be arsed, you heading?

Young drivers first crash is usually a straight forward collision with a car in front. Iā€™d hate to hear you were in hot water after rear ending reverend Samuel Thompson on his way to the lodge for the big celebrations pal.

Willl liam dunne stay bud?

Iā€™m confirmed for Owenbeg on Saturday. Iā€™ll be wearing a Wexford GAA polo shirt, Wexford GAA cargo shorts and navy Adidas trainers. Unless it rains in which case Iā€™ll be wearing a Wexford GAA jacket, jeans (skinny) and the Adidas trainers. Those orange bastards can come and have a go if they think theyā€™re hard enough. Thereā€™ll be claret everywhere. 'Av it.

He has one more year left so heā€™ll probably stay alright, Joe. Things went completely wrong this year but the only real candidate to take over in Wexford is Under 21 manager JJ Doyle.

Read an interview with Dunne and he almost seemed to think that JJ will be in charge next year. Said he has a year left and if Deveoux wants him there, heā€™ll be there, but that JJ doyle is doing great work with the 21s so weā€™ll see.
