@Gman did Fethard have a close in free to beat the Martins and some lad drop kicked it wide? At least that’s what the Martins twitter account indicated at the weekend anyway.
Yeah. Fethard had to win by 3 to qualify, a one point win was no use. It was a similar effort to Lyngs against Tyrone in the AI semi final. Martin’s were awful. I don’t think they got a point from play. Fethard contained them well but missed a rake of chances. Blazed a penalty over the bar and missed 3 mark free attempts as well as a couple of other frees and shots from play.
Ah right, I was ignorant to the points difference permutations. I mistakenly took from the tweet that yer man inexplicably drop kicked it when a point would have done.
