Very few lads from the New Ross district on the panel I noticed, seemed odd.
Last years one was worse.
But its a trend. Weāve a dedicated full time football coach in the county where the north half of the county is now flourishing. And not a thing being done in the south.
Yeah I know who you are talking about.
Should get another full time football coach other than Masterson then. Feels like thereās nout done compared to hurling where you have the 365 programme and all that. Football needs looking at, and fast.
Yeah it definitely does. The āfootballā guys lobbied hard to have a football only coach and got it, but its not exactly made things better in the county.
Doesnāt help either that our best ever footballer currently has no interest in getting involved due to issues that flared during his time with the minors.
Young Paddy needs minding this weather as well I guess. But yeah, Iād say heād need a bit of coaxing.
Thats true. As with many things though, there are two sides to every story. And considering what he was getting from the county board to then come out and say heād never go back is ridiculous.
Two football coaches the obvious solution.
Saw the minors play yesterday, hopeless, terrible tactics and very short on quality. Not good
Yup. It would certainly help. Finding them is tough these days though. I do still feel that they targetted an area to the detriment of the wider area and that in itself could be changed.
They could have done with him against Naas to sneak over the line last December.
I stand corrected.
Local paper today mentions that Chinās hamstring problem is no better/no worse than prior to Waterford game contrary to reports in the national media last week (cc Michael Verney) about him suffering a setback. This tallies with information shared on the Wexfordās hurling woes private group by an unnamed TFK member (cc @Mac).
It also says Shane Reck is out of the Galway game due to an injury to his āgood hamstringā but doesnāt put any return timescale on it. A bad and potentially championship ending tear, according to TFK.
Iād completely forgotten about Gavin Bailey, even though he was starting wing back last year. He was working his way back from injury and didnāt feature in the league afaik, but heās gone down with a cruciate knee ligament injury now. Think he might have had that injury before too.
The U21 footballers are playing Longford in Parnell Park tonight and the U20 hurlers are away to Westmeath in the championship soon (maybe at the weekend, canāt remember).
I think the u20 hurling is tomorrow night
Its on Saturday at 5.30 in Mullingar, u17s playing kilkenny at 2 in Bellefield the same day.
Like I mean, honest to fuck likeā¦
What ever happened to Aidan Nolan?
Did Davy give Longford a pre match talk?
Think heās going travelling this year. Left the panel early in the year iirc. Fairly sure he missed the U21 Leinster success in 2013 when travelling too.
