That project was delayed, in part, for two years because of objections by Butterfly Conservation Ireland relating to its effect on two types of butterfly.
The planning system in this country is a mess and a large part of the reason we can’t build homes or infrastructure in a timely manner.

Theres a solar farm being built near me. On prime beef land. Disgraceful. Down a boreen. Had to drive my clean diesel car into the ditch to avoid the polish reg arctics pulling in this morning. How much carbon is emitted in delivering this project

It’s hard to get good help these days.
Before industrialization, humans farmed and spent all day lazing around doing fuck all, between sowing time and harvesting time when they would do a a few days hard work and then go back to lazing around doing fuck all again.
Humans are naturally lazy creatures.
