What mobile phone do you have?

HTC Desire. Best phone (by a considerable distance) on the European market today.

What networks do that in Ireland?

Vodafone do anyway. Though they were sold out recently. A lovely phone alright.

thinking of changing soon, would ye recommend the desire over the iphone?

Ah they must be sold out because they’re not on the website.

Hm, its back now. Vodafone have the worst website ever. Wankers!

I’d have them on a par anyway. Desire is probably a fair bit cheaper.

gthink i can get iphone on free upgrade so might just go for that.

I got a desire on Meteor 2 weeks ago, very happy with it. Battery life was absolute crap for the first few days but after a few charge/discharge cycles it has increased a good bit, getting 3 days out of it now, depending on usage.

THe Samsung Galaxy S is the way forward for android phones.

is the battery shite on teh iphone, and do any of ye know do o2 do the desire?

The battery is brutal on the iphone. If you use it a nice bit you could have to charge it at least once daily if not twice.

There is an LG Android phone available on Meteor pay as you go… reasonably proced. around 150

I have the desire with o2. Cracking device. Very fast and much more customizable than iPhone . HTC scenes are the business.
Yours writing this on the desire on the train,
GSH.

The Samsung B2100 is the way forward for no bullshit phones that hold signal well, wont break if you drop em and hold charge for nearly a Week at a time.

Its got a handy flashlamp device for the odd time id walk home from the pub.

There is no future for this type of phone unfortunately

Be god there is,this type of device would be the phone of choice at most cattle marts around Ireland.

I’m not sure you understand the impact of the Irish cattle mart on the global mobile phone market there Link. It’s probably worth only about 20% of global sales.

Don’t know if the iphone battery is much worse that any other. The reason why you have to charge it so much is that you do more with it than you would with an ordinary phone - surfing the web and playing music. It’s just so easy.

The i-phone hasn’t done anything groundbreaking in it’s last couple of phone devices. As a result the likes of Samsung Wave and HTC have surpassed them. The operating system is now the main issue. Beta is not proven, the i-phone is for people who use apple computers and enjoy being told what to do by the company instead of the customer telling the company what to give them.
The i-phone4 is nothing new from the 3gs just small changes here and there.
After doing the research the HTC and Android with HTC sense on top of it is by a long way the best phone out there. The 1GZ snapdragon is faster than the iphone processor (as tested by me).

Also, the HTC makes me look thinner and makes my nipples stand out more which is always welcome.

Yours etc,
GSH.
