What other forums do you read?

I’m a bit of a forum junkie. Would have a lot of forums for different subjects that I look at occasionally. Don’t post on anything else at the moment though. Can hardly remember what I did before I started reading forums. Had a life probably:D

For GAA I dip in and out of the obvious ones like the GAA Discussion board and Cahill’s idiot farm. There are some good county sites out there as well like Premierview, KK Cats and RebelGAA. Reservoir Dubs has a load of paranoid fools on it but it is a useful resource for club stuff, underage etc.

Used to read a bit of Football365 but it’s too big and you can’t search for topics anymore so only look at it occasionally now.

The Rangers site Follow Follow is always good for a laugh.

For Darts this one is pretty much the only game in town.

The 2 below are ones I look at for Cycling:
http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=40002&sid=8ba6c969cf538101791344a7c53da0d2

Professional Cycling - Bike Forums

Few others I’d browse are:
http://www.politics.ie/search.php?searchid=924729
some good stuff on this but an awful lot of waffle

http://www.thepropertypin.com/
The Property Pin - good discussion about the economy and financial matters etc on this

http://www.archiseek.com/content/
Irish forum discussing architecture and plannning matters

http://www.skyscrapercity.com/
really interesting and massive forum, also about architecture

Would add Boards.ie to the list although hilariously over policed. Is useful for very specific stuff

Ya, the smaller forums are very good for finding specific information. Although one of my user names got the boot last week for something fairly innocuous. A serious amount of tools on it.

I’m not on boards but i have heard of their nazi regime…

10,000 plus posts for me on here is enough for me.

Lads get to be mods and treat it like a real job. If you get banned you have to send them a message asking to be let back and apologising for your actions etc.
Some amount of fuckwits over there.
To join the soccer forum you have to pass an exam or something. I’m not sure exactly, Bandage was on about it before.

If you call someone a cunt or any general abuse and you will get banned straight away.

Cunt.

I mod on ie boards. 4 forums in fact.

Why am I not surprised

You cunt.

What are the other forums?

You don’t strike me as a mod type of guy Turenne.

No offence, but if you were a mod here you’d get destroyed. That’s why we need strong individuals here for the role…

Can’t ban me from here the wanker

You say that like its something to be proud of.

The Blackout Rugby, Hip-Hop, UCC and Cork County forums.

I’m a hardcore mod Dunph, anyone calls me a cunt on ie boards and the fucker is done for life.

Was drinking with a couple of mates in the Gingerman pub about three years ago. We were leaving the pub about midnight and one of the lads saw a group of people congregated at the bottom of the stairs to the basement part. He recognised one of them and went down to see what the story was. Turned out the group were on a Boards.ie gathering type thing. I went down for a few seconds as well and engaged a couple of them in decidedly neutral banter, not being in the least bit interested in talking to the type of people who turn up for internet gatherings:D They seemed dull but inoffensive. Next thing my mate - more of a sometimes drinking buddy than a mate really - unleashes a Mike Tyson special on one of them completely without warning.

It seemed harsh at the time but reading Boards.ie you begin to appreciate that it was deserved. I think I might get him to come along to the TFK Christmas party this year.

Sound like a few likely targets for what has been referred to in my infraction notices as “low level trolling”

Bring him along.

Boards are up their own hole cunts and I hope MCD hammer em.

It’s over I think SS, Boards won.

Freedom of speech won’t feed my children, Runt. Think it’s not quite officially over yet. Up MCD.
