People are trying to be nice when they say these things; reports shove a mic into their faces and the just start talking. The really awful thing is that the kids were in the boot of the car and father was driving like a madman when he crashed. Just lucky he didnât kill someone else in the crash.

It doesnât, but the bleak reality is everyone is interested in a story like this. Public interest is what fuels any news story. Just looking at the papers today, the press already seem to have got the bottom of what most likely triggered all of this. Its the second time something of this nature has hit the Ballinkillen area in just over two years. In the George Rothwell suicide/murder the speculation and false and unfounded stories that were been bandied around were nothing short of a disgrace.
Just reading the papers on this today. Gardai arrested the father and he admitted to murdering the kids. This is very very sad.
Heâs been charged with the murders. One thing Iâm curious about are the press updates weâve been getting all day about how the interviews were progressing and the various admissions that were seemingly been made. As a general point, it canât be right that the Gardai are drip feeding this information to journalists. Due process and rule of law and all of that surely have to be applied in all cases.
I saw him being led into the court on the news there. He looked a completely broken man. Why wouldnât he says you, and it could be an act says someone else, but just saying how it looked to me.
