Christ. Volume of people or just being arsey with questions/Covid stuff?

One small grace is at least it was preclearance and not the hour and half in a queue after 12+ hours travel.

Looked like volume of people vs number of border guards

Cowboy border operation

A serious pain in the hole. Put in myself and the Mrs under a group application but it’s decided to do them individually. This c**t of a negative test a day before flying is some cod. Best off getting Covid again in next few days and getting recovery cert.

I used GoSafe48 down at the Ha’penny bridge. It was grand.

@Batigol how bad is the airport currently re queues outbound?

Travelling out of Dublin next Friday morning with 2 toddlers for a 7.30am flight.

I’m not hearing great reports about check in and security…

For Dublin I’d give myself around 90 mins before boarding to be parking up the car. Cork, I live close but if on my own I’m leaving the house an hour before take off.

Yeah it’s a bit all over the shop from what I’m hearing. Give yourself as much time as you can

Ah yeah. I fly all the time on my own for work. Park up in short term 50 mins before take off. Fast track security and still plenty of time for a coffee.

Different story when i need to check in a heap of bags and have 2 young children with me

This is this morning

I got one recently for travel and they didn’t even check ID

I could have failed, rebooked in another place and got someone to go for me. Apparently there are a few places only wave the test in the General direction of your face

There is a fast track option to skip the queue. A nice little scam by the DAA. Only a 20 min wait with it

Oh ive taken the hit on fast track for all of us on this occasion. Still sounds chaotic.
Reports fast track not even open in an article yesterday

Must be high absenteeism levels causing all these issues?

As per the Times yesterday a 1000 staff made redundant during the pandemic that’s the real issue
