When will you travel abroad again?

Shannon is as quick.

Cork is a great airport.

An absolute dream to fly from

A right Mickey Mouse operation.

Arrived into Dublin last night, I think it was terminal 1. It was like something out of the 80s on the walk in, no design, just stairs and shitty wood panelling. The toilets in the baggage hall looked like they hadn’t been washed in a week, filthy floors and overflowing urinals. An embarrassing introduction to the country for any new visitors.

It’s a right looking kip

DAA are some shower of money hungry cunts. There’s toilets they’ve just shut sooner than clean. The roof leaks every time it rains (we’d buckets on the go earlier in the year). Place is permanently a building site.

In fairness they’ll probably do a right job of managing the one in Jeddah

They’ll hardly need buckets for the rain over there

@Juhniallio i see you stayed in Perpignan, I’m heading over there for a 2-3 nights next week with my daughter. We re going to stay in the centre unles you’d recommend otherwise, also is there much to do there? I won’t have a car so in and around the area , I don’t mind getting a bus or train.
Cheers

Can you ask him about Bella Italia too mate? Thanks

What age is she? Not a huge amount to do in Perpignan itself in my experience. Mrs J’s folks have a place about half an hour outside. Bella italia is lovely by the way…

Ah she’s a young adult. We’re flying into carcasonne so were gonna head to Perpignan for a few nights, could also go to to Toulouse but at least Perpignan is on the med

Ah right. Not a huge amount to do there like i said, wandering round the canals/cafes is nice but weve never seen any big touristy things. A quick browse of the trip afvisor things to do confirms it…

I’d get out of the city and head for the coast. As i told KP collioure is one of my favourite towns in the whole world. Galleries, famous artists, views, cafes, beach, deafly walks up the hills if you want etc. Amazing.

That sounds fantastic… thank you sir!

Anyone any views on travelling around Europe on a train using an inter rail pass, with kids… You can get passes that allow you to travel for 5 days in a month in first class for 800 quid, kids under 12 are free

Seems like a decent way to see a few cities and a lot less hassle than flying around multiple times.

The problem is cities relatively close and something in them for kids. Sounds great tho…

That’s 800 quid for two as well

I did a small bit of it but without kids. Nice way to travel. Did Netherlands, Berlin, Poland once & Berlin, Dresden and Prague once.

Berlin - Dresden - Prague - Vienna - Budapest is an actual train route. As in you get on the train in Berlin and it ends in Budapest with the other three on the way. You could be able to get tickets cheaper if it was just one line? From memory tickets were fuck all so might be as well book them individually

Connections from Budapest bring you to Istanbul via Belgrad and Sofia. It’s on my list of things to do at some stage.
