Which 'British' club will go furthest in the Champions League?

If we can just bring in one more player then it’s Celtic for me. Get on a run at home and nobody will stop us. If we get Tommy Gravesen then that’ll be the best front 6 in Europe.

Yeah you’re dead right.

Manchester United. I was delighted getting Celtic in the group stage. I dont think they’re up to much

Chelski. Given the talent available, and the manger’s track record. Also it will be their prime focus this year. Still any thing can happen over 2 legs and that will give the lesser clubs a chance, assuming they negotiate the group stages as the 4 English clubs look certain to do. Celtic have a good chance of going through but I’m not putting the child allowance money on them.

Liverpool. Again on the basis that I wouldn’t bet against any of the English clubs getting through the group stages, and if they do I think the two-leg format suits Liverpool.

Thought about this long and hard and I’ve opted for Celtic in the end. Something about that team that warms my heart and I can’t see them letting me down - especially after their administrative error cost me 270 euro last night, bandage about 130 euro, thepiedpier about 170 euro and pagey 55 euro.

If there was 20k Celtic supporters for Keane’s testimonial in Manchester, how many will be there for a CL game? I know Celtic had a 10k-15k ticket allocation for that game and will only have around 6k for this one according to rumours but I reckon Celts will descend on Manchester from all over the world. I reckon it’ll be like Anfield 2003 with Celtic supporters throughout the ground, should be some trip.

How much would you pay for a ticket by the way rock, pagey? I think I would literally pay anything to get in there. Can’t fooking wait and it’s my birthday that day too. So, congratulations to me - I was fooking born!

Great stuff from Gilesy there, ‘Gerrard has over 50 caps for England and his country and Liverpool are still trying to accomodate him. You don’t have to accomodate great players Bill.’ Poor enough fare tonight. Chelsea were typically mechanical, rigid and lacking flair whereas Benitez tinkered things around too much again. I’d be well pissed off if I was Bellamy - left out of the 16 for the derby on Saturday and then taken off after 70 tonight though he was their best player.

Happy with having voted for Celtic in the poll after watching tonight.

Was in the pub so not sure I heard correctly but I think you’re taking Gilesy’s comment out of context. His point was that he is a great player but not a great central midfielder, I thought. Anyhow, 0-0 is a good result although we could’ve and should’ve won the game. Rafa is over-tinkering though and why Zenden plays I’ll never understand. Pure muck again last night.
