Who wasn't bugging GSOC

Is drinking on duty not a big no no of police forces the world over or are Gardai allowed a drink while on duty? If the Mr D was caught drinking on duty and was reprimanded for it then he only has himself to blame. He should have known a straight laced Garda like McCabe would not be one of those that would just tell him not to let it happen again and go on his merry way which is probably the standard response in a unprofessional force such as the Gardai.

Yep. It’s on all the Garda disciplinary statutory instruments that taking drink on duty will give rise to disciplinary procedures. Any cop would know that. Whole thing smacks of revenge.

Cavan/Monaghan division seems like a cuntfest of an operation

Williams was accompanied by a photographer to interview Ms D. The photographer happened to be Noirin O’Sullivan’s son. Not a major issue but funny all the same. Small world and all that.

Is Williams going to be fucked after all this…please let it be so… No way can that O Sullivan chancer stay in her position…the cunt…Surely Macabe will get his day out in court and sue the shit out of all these wankers…Or maybe when the dust settles they will all carry on regardless… Hard to know whether to laugh or to cry at it all… Is this getting reported in the international media at all does anyone know?

It’s barely getting reported in the Irish media, pal.

I read in a comments section that William’s photographer that day was O’Sullivan’s son. I had to read through the transcripts to confirm it. O Sullivan’s son worked with Williams in the Sunday World and followed him to the Indo. I hate using the term ‘mainstream media’ but they are not reporting these things. They seem to be happy to continually descibe the allegations made against McCabe in the hope that some of the shit will stick. It appears they were all in on it, now it’s just a case of them trying to find a handy scapegoat. The D family look to be the frontrunners.

They will just all carry on regardless. Ends Kenny was caught lying a couple of times when he was Taoiseach and just shrugged his shoulders and sailed on.

Yeah but if they are found against surely it leaves the door open for Macabe to sue Tusla, Williams etc. @artfoley if he looked for damages would it be a jury trial?

The transcript of Superintendent Cunningham’s evidence yesterday is a must read for anyone seeking to get to the nub of the matter.

Bullet points

You should read it.

Does it have big font and pictures ?

Sure why would you need a photographer for an article involving someone who wanted anonymity?

It has big font but runs to over 120 pages.

Unreal

This is Ireland though, no heads will roll. O’Sullivan will get her commissioner’s pension and commendations for having led the Gardai through some challenging times. Everything will go on as normal and people will go back to being mad at Mick Wallace for wearing pink shirts.

That’s the way it works here. Anyone can lie through their teeth and then when it is exposed they usual excuse is that it was the information I had at the time and that’s that. They should have a zero tolerance on this and if someone is found to be lying they are removed from their position and lose all entitlements and monies that would have been paid while in that position.

You can bet things would change quickly if they introduced and there were some folks who got hit with it.
