Its in the middle of nowhere. Its on about 16 acres. Thats an old photo or else a drone was used cos you cant see the house from the road.

If they are kicking them out because the house couldn’t/shouldn’t have been built in that area, then how do you legally let other people live in it?

Fcuk it, I’d just make them demolish it at their own expense, and restore the land. Throw them in jail until they comply. It’s one of the very few things better about the mainland is that they’d have had this knocked years ago at the owners expense.

Not every house built needs to be owner occupied, the rental market is also just as fucked. Both owner occupied and rental accommodation needs to be built but NIMBYism is fucking up the system, hard to blame the gubbermint for NIMBYism imho
The rental market is the one that is fucked and has been for the last few years.
There is the generation who were fucked by the GFC crisis and we see the remnants of that with home ownership rates but it is the rental market that always needed to be focused on. The homeless rate is also a fairly pointless KPI at this stage.
