Only Farmer has suggested that South Korea might progress here. I think Uruguay have been far more impressive so far.

Very poor defending and goalkeeping from South Korea for the goal. Odd sort of game. Uruguay have looked good but Korea have hit the post and Park should have done an awful lot better when he broke free with the ball early on.

Miserable game this but that was a cracking chance for Korea.

An equaliser from nothing really but Uruguay had stopped playing a bit. Hopefully that will spark the game a bit.

Keeper

A belter of a goal from Suarez. He’s been hanging around the back post all game and has two goals and two other great chances as a result of it.

Uruguay really turned up the pace once it went level.

Ah what a magnificent finish from Luis Suarez, a goal that deserves to win this sort of tie.

Tremendous celebration there.

Well done Uruguay.

A decent little team.

Great goal by Suarez.

just saw the second half there. Was very disappointed with the U’s until Korea equalised. Granted the keeper was awful but I felt it was coming anyway as the U’s forgot to pass the ball and were just hoofing. But I was really impressed with their response after the equaliser. Superb goal to win the tie but I thought Forlan and Perez showed great leadership in the last ten minutes. Into 15s now on the exchanges.

The panel is fairly poor in the absence of Didi and Souness.

Ossie Ardiles ‘ooga booga wooga reallypoorpassing kajooga schwooga dooga likeadee tactics is all a really bit reallybadshow’ type contributions don’t add much.
