While Iām seemingly on a roll, Iāll say that the fact that FIFA only decided that this would be the basis of the seedings on the day before the draw is fairly disgraceful. If nothing else, it leaves them open to the accusation of bias, and following on from the late decision to seed the play-off draw in Europe, I think it damages the integrity of the competition a little. All this should have been decided at least 18 months ago. They combined this today with the news that Henry might be banned from games in the World Cup for what would have merely been a bookable offence if spotted by the ref. Itās been a bad few weeks for FIFA.
