Cavani is a fraud.
@chewy louie Enjoy the winnings buddy. I think we’ve pulled off the heist of the century tonight.
Two savage goals. The first one speaks for itself, but the effort for the header back on the 2nd one was incredible.
Surely Columbia are favourite’s now considering players in form, heat etc.
A friends father described Brazil as Kerry 1997, with Neymar being Maurice Fitz, helped by 2 decent lads (O Se and Moynihan, see Luiz and the keeper) and a load of shit lads.
Is he accurate?

As All-Ireland-winning teams go they were fairly shit. Don’t remember O’Cinneide doing much in '97. You left out Pa Laide who was one of their best players. Russell and Crowley were dangerous off the bench but certainly not as good as they were three years later. Strange that most of the real core of the '97 team were either gone or didn’t start by 2000 - Breen, Laide and Liam Flaherty were gone, Barry O’Shea crocked and Fitzgerald only a sub. Kerry brought through some amount of talent in that 1997-2000-ish period.
Don’t forget Liam Hassett
I didn’t say they weren’t, but he called Darragh O Se Dara O Cinneide and Breen shit, they were far from shit. In 97 or otherwise. He’s an incredible bluffing cunt, he talks about the Brazil keeper but doesn’t even know his name.
Fuck off with your bogger ball shite in here.
+1. That Kev cunt had me seething is all pal.
@chewy louie who is our money on today, mate?
holland & greece in a double. 21/20 & 11/5.
Netherlands by exactly 1 goal and Greece-Costa Rica 0-0
Are either of you fuckwits chewy Louie???
It was a Kerryman that made this comment.
Laide was patchy. Many of the players that went on to be stars were average enough that year, O Cinneade in particular.
Breen was old school.
Laide was very patchy in terms of his general career but was class in '97, Kev.

Brazil are still favourites and rightly so. They are a round further than anyone other than Colombia and have been favourites throughout and haven’t really looked close to being beaten.
Colombia have been very impressive but the argument against them will be that they’ve beaten nobody of substance (though I think the Suarez suspension for Uruguay is overemphasised). They also have a difficult path with Brazil next then likely Germany or France in a semi-final. At 12/1 though I’m surprised they’re significantly longer odds than the likes of Holland.
Your friend’s father isn’t very au fait with Brazil if he has Luiz and Julio Cesar as two of his top three Brazilian players. Also Neymar isn’t as two footed as Maurice Fitz.
They looked fairly close to beaten when Chile rattled the crossbar in the last minute Rocko!
They did have to beat Tipperary, Cavan, Clare & Mayo to win their All Ireland.

i don’t think they deserve favourites at all. No way have they been the best team, from what i saw anyway.
I haven’t seen enough of the Dutch or the Costa Ricans in this tournament so far so I will be holding back somewhat. A small double on both favourites to win
