Agreed. He made an earlier save where he stood upright and swatted the ball away too. The amount of keepers that lie down early always baffles me.

As mentioned last week, Ecuador were comfortably the best team in that weak group France were in. Comfortable from Germany without being outstanding. They controlled most of the game, created a few chances and held onto a lead for 75 odd minutes.
Lacked a midfield option on the bench. Bringing Kramer instead of a Bender or someone might come back to haunt them. Hope they persist with that selection now. Best two centre backs, Lahm in his best position, Khedira and Schweini double pivoting the fuck out of it, Klose making room for attacking midfielders, much better setup.
France did as well as could be expected in the tournament. A developing team. Valbuena and Benzema were good enough tonight and in the tournament. Midfield were flat track bullies though and Griezmann and Giroud were inconsistent. Decent team to watch though.
