WORLD PROFESSIONAL DARTS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2020 - O2 ARENA, LONDON

Sparky responds with a 14 darter

1-1 set 6

Wesley looks to be ever so slightly thinning out on top, and are his chances of victory thinning out

Scotty went bald long ago and he’s going bald headed for this

12 darter to go 2-1 up in legs

Game shot and the match Scott Waites!

He wins set 3-1 and takes the match 4-2

A superb 174 set up double 12 to win it

Them’s the bare fax for the Halifax man

Delighted to see Scotty win.

Remember scotty winning the grand slam of darts after being 8-0 down in the final, that man is made of teak, great player over the years

Scotty Dog Mitchell v Michael Unterbuchner promises to be another high class Round of 16 tie starting any moment now

Scotty Dog has the pedigree of a world champion but Michael is a very accomplished opponent and has the better world championship record in recent years with two semi-finals in the last two years as well the prestigious title of 2018 Swiss Open champion

Mick misses four darts to level the match at 1-1 and Scotty nips in to make it 2-0 in sets

Mick is from Landsberg and he’s in a prison of his own making in this match

It’ll be a case of sein kampf to get back into it

Mick will be kicking himself again

He hit an 11 darter to equalise set 3 at 2-2 and was on 126 after 9 darts in the deciding leg, but again contrived to let Scotty nip in and win the set

It’s 3-0 to the 2015 World Champion but that’s a scoreline that flatters him

Mick is scoring very well here

If he just had a bit more composure on the doubles he could be ahead

If he can get one set on the board I would not write him off here despite being 3-0 down

Mick is 13/2 to win the match

He’s 2-0 up in set 4

Scotty has forced a decider in set 4…

Unreal matchplay

A great night for the Scotts of England

The Dog has sealed a 4-0 win

Mick played quite well there and in legs it was only 12-8 but Scotty always won the key legs that mattered

His vast experience was invaluable

Dogged display from Scotty Dog.

He had that inner calm that comes from knowing he is a World Champion

Once a champion, always a champion and champions generally find a way

My word, the choons, the choons at the Dome

2Unlimited’s Y’All Ready For This and Kasabian’s Club Foot rocking the packed Indie-go arena at the interval and now Manchester’s Dave Evans is on The Edge as he walks on to Oasis’s Morning Glory

He takes on reigning Isle of Man Classic champion Richard Veenstra in tonight’s final match

A Champagne Supernova of a performance by the Mancunian so far

He’s 2-0 up

Manchester’s finest in the commentary box now too

The legendary John Gwynne alongside Tony O’Shea

They’re not here to take part, they’re here to take over

A 13 darter gives Evans a 3-0 lead

It looks like the Mancunian is on Coronation Street now as far as this match is concerned

The Dutchman finallly hits a Rich Veen of form and sweeps set 4 to bring it back to 3-1
