Well until I pulled you on the shitness of the thread you had one yourself in the team. So even you think there is someone “worse” than O Neill on it.

You know less about football than you think if you say Colm O Neill was a shit footballer. Many Corkmen believe he win the game for us that day.
So, many Corkmen believe that a Cork player getting himself sent off in the first half on an All-Ireland final won the game for you?

Is getting one of your own players sent off to gain an advantage a commonly used tactic in Cork football?

Here @caoimhaoin , thanks for the shout.

Can we have a vote @Sidney to see if @caoimhaoin really is the leading authority on all GAA related matters?

On that particular occasion it was felt the act, while clearly stupid and in disciplined, showed that Cork were not going to lay down to Meath again. The quietest man on the team punched the toughest man on the other team. The message it sent to both teams was significant. Billy Morgan is quoted as partially agreeing with this view.

That is bull Kev.

Indiscipline is a cancer on any team, so to applaud or even use it as a sign of mental toughness against an opposing team is a stupid remark imo. Cork would have beaten Meath regardless imo, so to highlight a quiet man reacting to an opponent as a reason for defeating his team is just plain weird.
actually i personally attended a number of shit all ireland semi finals

1993- cork 5-15 Mayo 0-11 - this was the era of Jacko getting Mayo to lift cars around parking lots… enough said
It was under Brian McDonald’s tenure in 1992 and not Jack O’Shea’s that Mayo players were lifting cars in parking lots.

judging on the evidence presented however whatever methods Jacko used didnt exactly help matters in 1993

we will hear no more from Cork bout having quiet man Tony Davis sent off in the 1993 final then fucking up Cork! Of course Davis shouldn’t have sent off but his buddie Niallo should have gone minutes earlier.

On the other hand, Cork could have done with a Niallo or an O’Neill a few years back when Tadhgie pole axed big Nick. A bit of a row or even a few verbals thrown Tadhgie’s way would have been more fun than the Cork whinging about it afterwards and the plonker Tadhgie made of himself in his book.

oth

I agree with you. Belting Kenneally would have done alot for Cork.

That’s how the people of the time view it. You are just disagreeing with me for the sake of it. I don’t totally agree with it and doubt it had little effect in Meath. I well believe it motivated Cork. They were different times.

Please Kev, stop.

It is what i believe, just as i did not rate the 4 biffo’s i mentioned earlier. It does not make me eternally right, it doesn’t make me stupid either. #eachtotheirown

Where is KiB man these days?

Ah here, John Troy was a genius , used to love watching him play…typical tipp nonsense out of ya…

Not rating 4 hurlers from an All Ireland winning team is pretty stupid and ignorant. They may not be your favorite hurlers, but they cannot be considered shit. To even be an IC hurlers disregards that notion.

It’s a retarded thread I have given too much time to already. Carry on.
