Worst refereeing decision ever?

Not the penalty incident first-up but the goal with about 2 minutes remaining. Incredible stuff.

Crazy Stuff - Makes Kaka’s penalty call tonight look like good refereeing

It reminds me of I think Cork and Kerry a few years ago where a Kerry player walloped the ball into the side netting nearly taking the umpire’s head off and the same umpire hoisted the green flag

I actually thought it was going to be that penalty decision against Lucio tonight.

That GAA incident was for Kerry against Tipp in the championship, farmer. Hardly a decision to help the underdog. The ref was Michael Collins from Cork. He was destroying a league game in Wexford Park two years ago against Galway and some auld lad got up and shouted, ‘No wonder your own people turned on ya and shot ya.’

Thats hilarious. Reminds me of Rockos refereeing on Fingal greens many years ago.

You used refs on the local green? rocko is the type of geek who’d have actually bought a ref’s kit as a kid though.

If there was ever a row over whether the ball rolled over the jumper or slided by just inside it in Wexford the call was ‘Give us a penalty or we’re taking the goal.’ Every game had about 15 pens as a result.

Yeah when he was in goal he would ref. He was terrible though and would buckle under pressure. Its where I learned to keep nagging at the official knowing eventually they would cave in. Unfortunately other refs seem to have more guts and as a result of rocko’s weakness I have got many a card for dissent.

Forgot we used to do that. Keeper would be ref and a sending off offence was 2 penalty kicks, you couldn’t actually send a guy home. Whoever was in goals would get very card happy though and it was hard to be neutral.
