The children’s hospital is only a blip in comparison what Leinster house would have to dole out.
Give u 3 examples-1-
DLA- disability living allowance ( AKA Derry living allowance)
Free car plus tax and servicing every few years
( leased basis paid for in total by the Brits)
I’ve several mates that have it for years
All Republican and one out on licence
Every second family in the Creggan etc etc have it.
2- medical cards mean dental care aswell
This is all wrapped up with free school meals
Free books etc
3- as the vast majority of ppl depend on NI housing executive and a few housing associations for housing
This is all funded by the Brits
Plus when u add in the various sports complexes in each area of each large town/ city that are owned and managed by local councils
( this includes swimming pools/ all weather pitches )
Blah blah blah
Each primary school in deprived areas run initiaves to make sure all the smallies have good footwear and raincoats
Whilst in Derry though working and my missus part time we were entitled to free school meals,
Free rent
Free doctors care and medicines,
And before I came home my dentist ( club mate) sorted me out with 3 crowns, 2 fillings, polishing-

The nationalist ppl of the 6 counties nay yearn for a UI as I do earnestly
But when it comes down to it does any sane person honestly think ppl entitled to such benefits would even contemplate coming into this fucked up space down here,
It’s mismanaged up north but it’s a complete shit show down here,
Not going to insult ppls intelligence by listing out the complete wastrels we have in Leinster house and the states successive governments total fuckuppery of our children,OAPs , special needs ppl and the rest of the population in general.

I think so too, but I suspect proof beyond a reasonable doubt was difficult in a contemporary court. Too many of the actors no longer alive, or willing to give honest evidence.

I wouldn’t pay much attention to any statement like that today, there is a race to the bottom going on there that they should be left to. This statement on the other hand is excellent. I don’t think there was ever any realistic chance of a conviction, but most families will have got some satisfaction from him having to face trial.
