Cheers Excellence. Didn’t expect you to watch it sitting at your laptop updating as the action unfolded. Can’t wait for Judgement Day on May 20th.

I ended up watching a bit of it, had to go asleep around 2 though, pity because Benoit v some muppet was looking like a good match

Montel Vontavious Porter is his name. The one who looks like he has a Power Ranger suit on. ;D

Theres rumours the The Great Khali is going to be the next contender to Cena. What a distrurbing thought.

Where did you hear that? That would sicken me. I hate behomeths like him. I respect technicians like Michaels and crazy bastard high fliers like the Hardys.

I heard it from one of the newsletters. Although they also said Bobby Lashley would retain the E.C.W. title. Vince vs Lashley at Judgment Day I would say for the title. I really hope they do a John Cena vs H.B.K ladder match to end their feud.

Dosen’t it annoy you they spell Judgement wrong. The poster looks alright for it. Maybe a Kane Taker match one last time for the title.

My first contribution to the wrestling thread:

They didn’t spell judgement wrong. It’s how they spell it in America. Same as managment.

Yeah the americans cant spell anyway, they have bastardised the english language with their own retarded influence.

Backlash was repeated on Tuesday night from 9pm - 12pm on Sky Sports 3. After the shoot out at Anfield I was only able to get the 2 main events but fook they didn’t disappoint.

The Undertaker/Batista Wrestlemania rematch was a No Contest after both men went off the stage ramp through a wooden structure that collapsed sending accompanying steel beams on top of them. 'Taker retained the title by default after neither could get up by the 10 count. I feared for their lives, never mind their careers. It’s been since reported that The Deadman completely ripped his bicep at the start of the fight and will be out for 6 months. Yet still he fought on. Legend. Only for the fact wrestling is real the WWE would consider starting up some weird storyline to explain why he has to give up the title.

In the Fatal Four Way match between The Champ John Cena and challengers Shawn Michaels, Edge and Randy Orton the ending was one of the best I have ever seen in a wrestling ring. All the bhoys’ finishing moves were carried out in a cracking conclusion to the contest. Orton tried to get Cena with the RKO but The Champ somehow fended him off and pushed him into the path of Edge who speared him viciously. Cena then grabbed Edge and FU’d him powerfully but turned around to be met by Sweet Chin Music from Michaels. The Champ was knocked out, stone cold unconscious by HBK’s Super Kick but collapsed backwards and landed on top of the already prone Orton, even though he knew nothing about it, and got the 1-2-3 count to retain the title as Michaels crawled desperately over in an unsuccessful attempt to haul him off The Legend Killer in time.

Awesome stuff.

I’ll find it on YouTube.

From WWE.com:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. It was a case of whodunit on the first Raw broadcast after the explosive events of Backlash. As Raw aired live from Nashville, one by one the top Superstars on the Raw roster turned up beaten and unresponsive in the backstage areas of the Gaylord Entertainment Center.

At the top of the show, Mr. McMahon scheduled a match between WWE Champion John Cena and Shawn Michaels. The WWE Chairman and new ECW World Champion guaranteed a title opportunity for Michaels next week if he conquered Cena later in the night. But the highly anticipated match never occurred, as HBK was found laid out in the locker room area. Soon, both Edge and Randy Orton were found in similar states. Mr. McMahon came up with a solution, and sent word through Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman for Cena to go to the ring.

Cena stepped into the ring to demand that the anonymous attacker show himself. Fans suspected that anyone able to knock off three of the toughest Superstars in sports-entertainment would be nothing short of a giant of a man. When all 420 pounds of The Great Khali stepped into view, all suspicions were confirmed.

The monstrous Punjabi Warrior wasted no time in pummeling the WWE Champion. At one point in their confrontation, Cena was able to lift the behemoth for an FU, but was soon back on the defensive thanks to a stunning blow from one of Khalis enormous elbows. After taking The Champ out, Khali raised the WWE gold to a staggering height above his head, letting fans around the globe know that he had his sights set on the most coveted prize in all of sports-entertainment.
