WWE in Odyssey Arena in November

Looking for advice on how to do this trip. Living in Limerick area and going to the WWE RAW on the 13th of November with two nine year olds.
Its 230 miles each way and its starting at 19.30 in the in Odyssey Arena.

Where is best place to stay?
Should I try and drive back part of the way on the night?
Anyone who had done this trip have any pointers?

Any info much appreciated.

If you’re staying in Belfast I’d recommend the Tara Lodge B&B - http://www.taralodge.com/ - have stayed in Belfast a good few times and this place was better than any of the hotels. Plus it has onsite parking which not that many places do. About a 20 min walk or a 5 min drive from the Odyssey.

You’d get from Belfast to Dublin Airport in about an hour and a half - 2 hours now with the new road so its not as far from Limerick as it might seem.

Belfast is no distance at all from Dublin - either by train or by car so once you get to Dublin you don’t have much left to do.

I know Larryduff has been to the Odyssey a couple of times for gigs and the likes so he can probably let ya know where he’s stayed.

Cheers, they are booked out that night.

Anyone know what time the show would be over at ?

Always an option to stay in Dublin. As the lads said it is a grand drive up to Belfast. I think there are 24 hour buses to and from Belfast these days and I am sure that the trains are plentiful as well if you don’t fancy driving.

I stayed in the Days Hotel in Belfast. Not great now but ok for one night. A bit of a trek from the Odyssey as well…

If you’re just looking for somewhere to crash for the night you could even stay between Belfast and Dublin - there’s a new hotel out by Julianstown called City North or something. About half way between the cities and I’d imagine it’s cheap due to its location but it can’t be too shabby as it’s brand new and ridiculously big.

I think though that if you’ve made the decision to leave Belfast on the night, you’re as well going all the way to Dublin.

Loads of cheap hotels you could kip in for the night around Dublin as well. Citywest could be handy for Limerick. They’re doing some deal that all rooms B&B are e88 per night. You could fit the 3 of yez in it and also check in on the way up which would let you stop off for a bit of grub.

Think all events in the Odyssey finish around 10.30 or so. Definitely be over by 11. One of the best venues I’ve ever been in for a gig or a show. Best organised venue in Ireland as well.

Agree with what Mac said. Really good venue and far better than the point. Venue is located in a complex that also has a Pizza Hut and a cinema as well as a great interactive science museum called W5. Ideal for kids. Complex is fairly centry located to the city centre and is a 15 minute or so walk from the main train station. Enerprise travels regularly from Dublin to Belfast and stops in towns such as Newry, Dundalk and Drogheda along the way. If staying in Belfast I’d imagine you could do far worse than Jurys.

Judging from my experience of a WWE show a few years ago you’ll be looking at a 3 1/2 - 4 hour running time.

Judging by my experience of a WWE show a few years ago you’ll be well bored before it’s half way through.

I will be surprised if I am not bored a long time before that. Hopefully I might get a pleasent surprise.
