WWE Judgment Day

Amazing scenes on Friday Night Smackdown there.

Edge just won the World Heavyweight Championship from The Undertaker.

On Raw on Monday night Edge goaded Mr Kennedy into putting his Money In The Bank contract on the line. As Kennedy walked out to the ring Edge attacked him from behind and battered him into the ring post, smashed a monitor on his head and thoroughly destroyed him. He dragged him into the ring and then speared him straight away to get the 1-2-3 count and take the MITB from Kennedy.

Meanwhile on Smackdown Batista was challenging Undertaker for the championship in a steel cage match. It was a vicious affair that was deemed a draw after both men climbed out of the cage simultaneously. The Phenom was lying bloodied outside the ring when The World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry, rushed in and violently assaulted him. It was Henry’s first appearance in 12 months after The Dead Man crushed him at Wrestlemania XXII. Finally he finished laying into The Undertaker who was at this stage lying motionless in the centre of the ring.

Ever the opportunist Edge then raced in with the MITB briefcase and demanded an immediate shot at The Phenom’s title. Under the rules the match had to go ahead as the MITB contract states you have a title shot at any time in any venue within a year of winning the opportunity. So Edge went for the cover straight away and The Undertaker incredibly kicked out. Edge waited for him to groggily get to his feet and then launched into him with a powerful spear for the 1-2-3 count. I couldn’t believe it but The Rated R Superstar is the new World Heavyweight Champion.

Who knows who he’ll be facing at Judgment Day in 2 weeks time?

It’s always advisable to stay up and watch the last Raw before a big event live. What will go down before Judgment Day next Sunday? I’ll report back for you all in the morning.

Tonight at 1am on Sky Box Office. My predictions below:

Ric Flair vs Carlito: The former 16 times world champion to give a lesson to Carlito, his former tag team partner. How dare he disrespect a legend such as Flair like he’s been doing on Raw over recent weeks.

Elijah Burke vs CM Punk: The Straight Edged Superstar to prove too strong for Burke, the leader of The New Breed. I’m expecting outside interference from other NB members like Marcus Cor Von and Matt Striker but I think Punk has the quality and will to prevail.

Shawn Michaels vs Randy Orton: The Legend Killer has vowed to sort himself out personally and professionally since getting sent home from the European tour in disgrace a few weeks back. An excellent competitor when on song but I think Michaels will get the W in an entertaining encounter. He is The Show Stopper after all.

US Championship Match: Chris Benoit vs Montel Vontavius Porter ‘MVP’: These two have had several superb battles of late with The Rabid Wolverine just edging their recent Wrestlemania and Backlash bouts. MVP has beaten him in a few non-title match ups though and is improving and progressing all the time. MVP to defeat the champion.

ECW Championship Match: Bobby Lashley vs Umaga, Shane McMahon and Vincent Kennedy McMahon: Surely Lashley will retain the title he lost last month at Backlash. He’s fighting against the odds but the former US soldier is chiselled out of granite. He can do it.

World Heavywieght Championship Match: Edge vs Batista: Ever the oppotunist Edge defeated The Undertaker when cashing in the Money In The Bank contract on Smackdown the week before last. I’m a huge fan of Edge and expect him to defeat Batista. As he said himself this week, ‘I did in 3 seconds against The Undertaker what Batista couldn’t do in 3 months.’ Edge to retain.

WWE Title Match: John Cena vs The Great Khali: Can anybody possibly come out on top against Khali, a 7 foot 3 inch, 420 pounds behometh? Usually the answer would be a very definite ‘no’ but this is The Champ we’re talking about here. He’s been pounded by Khali on the last 3 weeks on Raw but I expect him to raise his game to new and incredible levels to somehow keep hold of the gold.

Should be a belter of a night though.

The Champ is still here. Awesome performance by Cena. 6 out of 7 predictions correct. I’ll give a proper run down of how things unfolded in the morning.

Ric Flair vs Carlito: The former 16 times world champion forced Carlito to tap out to the Figure 4 Leg Lock. Carlito still has a lot to learn and as Jim Ross said in commentary, ‘Potential don’t buy you groceries.’

Elijah Burke vs CM Punk: The Straight Edged Superstar kicked out of The Elijah Experience twice and then got the pin with the GTS (Go To Sleep). A high quality bout that’ll have improved the reputations of both young superstars.

The Hardys vs Cade and Murdoch: This match was added to the bill yesterday morning. The Hardys retained their World Tag Team titles after an absorbing and sporting battle. They finished it off with Matt giving Cade The Side Effect before Jeff delivered The Swan-Tom Bomb to get the pinfall.

Shawn Michaels vs Randy Orton: The Legend Killer cowardly attacked The Heart Break Kid in the locker room beforehand, smashing his head into the steel railing and concussing the future hall of famer badly. Dr Rios, the WWE doctor, refused to allow Michaels to compete but he stumbled out anyway and fought on instinct even though he could barely stand. Eventually the referree had to stop the fight as HBK collapsed. Orton then dragged him to his feet and delivered a sickening RKO - outstanding line from Jim Ross in commentary, who bellowed ‘You cold, bad bastard!’. Harrowing scenes to watch Rebecca Michaels crying frantically while lying beside her husband’s prone and lifeless body.

US Championship Match: Chris Benoit vs Montel Vontavius Porter ‘MVP’: Benoit was severely affected by a knee injury sustained on Smackdown this week when Finlay, The Fighting Irishman, attacked him with his shillelagh. MVP was smooth and impressive, winning this first to 2 pinfalls match 2-0. His initial pin came from The Playmaker and then he rolled up The Rabid Wolverine shortly afterwards to become the new champion.

ECW Championship Match: Bobby Lashley vs Umaga, Shane McMahon and Vincent Kennedy McMahon: Lashley was on fire from the off. He smacked The Samoan Bulldozer out of the ring, battered Shano Mc and then pummelled The Chairman. He then speared Umaga before giving Shano The Dominator for a really quick victory. As he celebrated he was attacked from the blindside by Umaga, who gave him a Samoan Spike. Then Vince took the mic’ and congratulated Lashley on his handicap victory before telling him that as he didn’t pin The Chairman, who was actually holding the belt, that he was therefore not taking the championship. A bitter blow for Lashley.

World Heavywieght Championship Match: Edge vs Batista: Edge survived his own trademark Spear and two Spinebusters before getting the victory over a very unlucky Batista. The Animal was on top throughout but in the end Edge managed to roll him up for the 1-2-3 count against the run of play. Typical Edge - I foresee a long championship reign for the Rated R Superstar.

WWE Title Match: John Cena vs The Great Khali: In amazing scenes last night at 3.35am The Champ, John Cena, forced the 7 foot 3 inches 420 pound behometh, The Great Khali, to tap out to the STFU. Khali had battered Cena all through this one with The Champ’s sheer bravery, bordering on insanity, keeping him in the fight. He was thoroughly dominated but the bout changed, changed utterly, when he managed to injure Khali’s knee by drop kicking the steel steps into his leg. Then he dragged him back into the ring and locked in the STFU. I couldn’t believe it when I realised Khali was writhing around in absolute agony and then tapped out. A magnificent victory for The Champ.

Another smashing event all things considered and they just keep on coming. Only 2 weeks to wait for One Night Stand on June 3 and I can watch it after the Wexford game in Croker that day. It’ll be off the chain, off the hook. hi5

One of the lads who watched Raw live on Monday night at 1am told me it starts with a 20 woman Battle Royal where they’re all shooting each other with water pistols and firing water balloons too. This repeat tonight kicks off at 10pm at exactly the same time as The Sopranos. This could be one of the toughest decisions of my life.

Most have them have there own personal water balloons, big bouncy ones usually. Mickie James is hot as fook :smoke:

She is indeed hot Flano but my own personal favourite (after considering things for a good 8 months) would have to be Maria:

Good call Banadage. The ditzyness of her does it for me. Torrie a long time fav for me. Got to touch her…hand at an autograph signing. Hot. ;D

I feel slightly creeped out by that last contribution

Big fan of Torrie too. She’s just about to take part in a mixed tag match with Ric Flair against Carlito and Victoria. I’ve also become very fond of Candice Michelle lately.

I’m creeped out by the pic of Davy Jones.

One Night Stand is on Sky Sports One. And no work Monday so might watch. hi5

Maybe it’s because I’m a Londoner,
That I love London so.
Maybe it’s because I’m a Londoner
That I think of her wherever I go.

I get a funny feeling inside of me
Just walking up and down.
Maybe it’s because I’m a Londoner
That I love London Town.

He’s Ireland new Eurovision hopeful with that song “My lovely Horse”
