Ye Olde FA Cup Thread

A great day for the Silkmen

First FA Cup holders to go out on a plastic pitch in the Third Round since Liverpool lost out in a second replay to Luton Town (sixth in the First Division) at Kenilworth Road in 1987.

Great scenes here on the BBC.

Ethan McLeod, a Macclesfield player, was killed in a car accident on December returning from a match.

Bloody hell.

Macclesfield are only national league. Bloody hell, I assumed they were league 2.

They’re two levels below League 2

His parents with the players in the dressing-room there now

He seems a thoroughly alright sort as well. According to Wikipedia he made it known he would have played for Ireland if good enough.

Sounds like his not one of those traitorous Irish scousers like his brother and Shea Lacey

Just signing in but the TNT goals show looks a right idea for FA Cup 3rd round Saturday.

I think we’ve the magic of the cup back lads

Young Semenyo with his first goal for City. You love to see it

Pep sending out the first team to face lowly Exeter. Seems like Arteta has him badly rattled

Disappointing that City have surpassed last years hammering of Salford but so be it. Great to see all the kids getting in on the action, 4 academy players scoring no less. McAidoo with the latest on his debut and going into the crowd to celebrate with his family in the crowd.

Exeter score a dinger at the death and me man goes and runs to get the ball :joy:

Can any footix explain how City had an XG of 2.02 today ???

Harry Wilson is cooking

And City hit the 10th.

Threw on that TNT goals show there myself. The young Exeter chap scored a cracker to cut the deficit to 9-1 (nine-one) & ran in to pick the ball out of the net to bring it back to the centre circle. Man City just made it 10-1.

You cut me real deep there
