Iāll tell you what kid. Iāll do the next few rubbish runs for free for you. Job is oxo
Will it be an EV charging road ?
Hopefully so.
This week, Sweden unveiled eRoadArlanda, the first electrified road in the world. The 2-kilometer (1.2-mile) stretch of pavement uses a pair of electric rails to transfer energy from the road to an EV above it via a mechanical arm.
Each kilometer of road cost about $1.2 million. The system keeps track of each vehicleās use and charges the driver accordingly. For now, thatās pretty simple ā just one vehicle is using the road right now: a truck owned by PostNord, a Swedish logistics firm.
I think kwe need to put up a poll to sort this one out lads. Iāll set one up there
we have trains that will run on one charge from Dublin to Drogheda & back now mate - why have disgusting cars? maybe the muldoons from Galway need some gentle prodding from us city slickers to help them see the light.
The climate action bill has killed the 2nd ring road, the muldoons shouldnt be demanding something they will never get, if they push for light rail & be nice about it, they might just get it
Surely drive through fast is a good enough reason to keep roads?
That would be cheap for Ireland
Maybe they could tie it in with the mica scheme up in donegal. Save a few bob
Iād say Galway is entitled to the ring road. I donāt trust the Greens ability to predict the future after the diesel car recommendations in 2008.
Galway already has a ring road
the first ring road was so successful lets build a second & in 30 years time lets build a 3rd
the second road wont happen guys
Thereāll be no shpace for a 3rd ring road unless they build it under Lough Corrib.
Heād remind you of Kiely whining after ye battered us there in the league. Sicken your shit it would flatty
It would indeed. Most certainly.
Does Galway have those real time displays telling you when the next bus is coming and is it anyway accurate? Thatād be a good first step. Of course if the bus is just sitting in traffic like everyone else then itās a all a cod.
Theyāve been gradually going in over the last few years. The two stops nearest to me have been upgraded in the last year or so from poles in the ground to having a shelter and real time information.
It was bog cotton eventually, then the credit crunch.
The new plan has a different route, habitats for bats etc etc.
Cars are the real virus.
It is the one of most liveable cities in the world.
Thatās great so. Weāre agreed on that. No need for the road.
You need to get out more, and also not be such a professional complainer.
Iām not complaining at all about not having the ring road. Iām quite happy to keep things as they are on that front.
You and the other lad were the ones complaining.
Galway already has a ring road
@TheUlteriorMotive wants to get his LandRover from Dublin to Roundstone a few minutes quicker during the summer. Them boards aināt going to paddle themselves.
Itās Brittas Bay for me these days pal.
