Mags Darcy made a comment about that goal Armagh got against Carlow that there were premiership players on a million pounds who could only dream about doing something like that. I found it quite funny that she thought BPL players would dream of being able to score a goal in a junior Camogie final.

I believe the reason is that the ball is a different size in Ladies Football (can anyone confirm?) and Hawkeye requires different configuration for different size balls (CC @JoeMcKenna). It was up to the LGFA if they wanted to do this. They said they would investigate it over 2 years ago.

To be honest, the LGFA are stone fucking useless.

This would be true. The ladies use a size 4 football where as the men use a size 5. This is why hawk eye is not used because they would have to re-jig the system for the size 4 football.

Only in the same way it’s re-jigged for hurling and camogie. Both use different size sliotars as well
