fuck all. Its a very short season also in fairness but you’d get as much on minimum wage in Australia. Season salary goes from $16k to $30k. Considering the average Australian wage is around €80 odd thousand, its fairly paltry in the scheme of things.

Stack moved her family out there. I can appreciate the “once in a lifetime” gig, but she’s mid 30’s, with a kid, and with a lot of miles on the clock. I’m sure she weighed it up obviously, but I dunno myself.

Just goes to show though how easily you can get fucked up in sport. I’d imagine you’re not looking at much more to make that a life changing injury.

Must be awful stuff to watch considering how crap the men’s game is.
A lot of them pick up secondary jobs with or through the club I believe which would leave them earning a semi decent wage.
yeah they would. also the option of college education there too through a scholarship, so that would also sweeten the deal too. plus accommodation and what not. the actual wages of playing wouldnt amount to much, but there are other perks that would make it an attractive move.
What injury did she sustain? I have seen a good few tweets mentioning an injury but no specifics and i will be damned if im clicking on an article to read into it.
She was rushed away as a precaution. I imagine she got what is commonly known in rugby parlance as a “stinger”?
Particularly attractive for the younger players.
