Watched the Babyshambles set at Glastonbury and he could barely stand up never mind sing. It was basically just an instrumental set with Doherty making the odd attempt to sing but generally just slouching around the stage.
Yet still the crowd were going mental for him.
What’s that all about?
The crowd went mental purely because any fans of the band know his songs inside out. He was once absolutley amazing and The Libertines gigs were amazing in 2004-2005. I saw Babyshambles once and Pete was on top form , when he decides to actually keep himself in some sort of decent shape for a gig he can be very good
They may as well have gone home and listened to the cds then.
Being too fooked to perform doesn’t make him cool.
If I paid money to watch Wexford play hurling and all the players were incoherent and unable to do anythying then I’d be massively pissed off. In fact I would have been at the Leinster Final.
