His redemption is the best part of S5. One of the very final scenes is him having dinner with his sister.

It’s really lovely. I remember my first time watching the series asking my mate, “I don’t care about spoilers just tell me is bubbles going to be ok!”

Too few redeeming qualities to be tragic but arguably one of the most broken (non-psycho or criminal or the like) tv characters ever.

Sarah Lynn would’ve given him a run for money on the most broken characters

It’s a competition for children!!

Yeah, and Homer beat their brains out!!

I have vague memories of another tragic character in sopranos who owned a great outdoors type camping shop …Tony and the boys bled him dry …can’t remember exactly .think he lost shop in end ,he might have died too…

He was a degenerate gambler.

Becher in Oz, had to take a lot of Nazi dick and his whole family was murdered…actually, everybody in Oz really, none of them were getting out.

The Reverend Cludier got the worst end, cemented into a wall, his whole thing was just a gimmick as well, he didn’t believe it.

Karim Said did good work, tried to sterr Bodie on the right path when he entered Oswalt at 16.

Bodie is my favourite Wire character, was just doing his job but realised all the while that the game had changed.

Saddest scene in The Wire for me, unclear whether Michael remembers or not, or doesn’t want to.
