O’Carroll and flynn shouldn’t be there. Paddy Christie or Gerry Hargan would be in before o’Carroll. Flynn, I would replace with his fingallians club mate keiran duff. I will have to have a little think about the Dublin one.
Cavlan never reached his potential, he looked like a phenomenal talent when he burst on the scene then just seemed to stall suddenly. He was supremely talented but a strange character by all accounts.

It’s very close, but I definitely don’t rate Scanlon as better than Kiely.
And as good as Damien Reidy was, I don’t think you could have a team without Lavin, whether in the backs or forwards. I’d rate him as the best of those half-backs.
I picked Jim-Bob because I just think he’s a better footballer than many of the others we had. Maybe he didn’t play long enough at a high level but I’d have him as a better player than Collins & Reidy. A huge loss to the footballers in the past few years.
I’m perhaps a bit harsh on Collins tbh, I just felt he didn’t do it enough in the big games and not committing for the last couple of years has also turned me a bit off him.
Possibly hargan but definitely not Christie. He got roasted a good few times and was too nice for a full back. John Crowley made.an absolute tit of him in the 2001 replay in thurles… I’d still have.o.caroll.over.both though. He has taken on all comers in the last few years and come out on top.
Kieran Duff was a great player and was let go way too early by Dublin. Galway posters will have particularly fond memories of him i’m sure. On mature recollection I would put him in for Flynn.
