I heard he got a hat trick one day in training
You should have clarified that you weren’t including his half season in Scotland and international goals, Pikeman. 2 goals in 3 club starts this season.
But you are forgetting the 8 months he didn’t play in that particular league between January and August 2010 and in that time scored 20 goals …
Thought that would bring yez scrambling alright.
Good interesting game on now, Sunderland playing nice stuff against the aerial bombardment from Stoke.
Impressed by Pennant today, good on the ball, great deliveries and busy
AND A GOAL, FROM A PENNANT CROSS, AND I WIN THE MONEY, I WIN THE MONEY, YES BOY!!!
Complete and utter mayhem at St James’. Arsenal have given up a four-goal lead in the last 20 minutes. Still only 88 on the clock.
Cracking goal from Tiote to recover for Newcastle. 0-4 to 4-4. Mad penalty decision for the third though.
Oh yeah, that was crazy. Didn’t see the sending off, though Curtis Fleming seems to reckon that it was similar to what Nolan did after the first goal and didn’t even get booked for. Five minutes on the board. Looking like a great bonus for United here. B)
Tinnion will be seething tonight!
Dispicable carry on there from Giggs, very much out of character
To be honest, I thought Giggs was actually trying to get the ball off Doyle but Doyle had just kicked it away so it looked like Giggs just drew a boot on his shins.
Awful by United. Terrible pitch and horrible conditions but that’s no excuse. Didn’t create one chance in the entire second half really. Not good enough, and it really is a relief that Arsenal dropped points earlier. Door opened up a bit for Chelsea today though.
Wenger sickened
What an absolutely mental day of football. From joy to devastation to joy again, haven’t experienced anything like that since watching Arsenal v Liverpool in the Champions League in 2008.
Don’t know what to say about the 4-4, defies logic. Some shocking calls from the referee (2nd penalty, no booking for Barton for tackle on Arshavin at the end of the first half, no booking for Barton for almost breaking Diaby’s leg) but can’t apportion all the blame for blowing a four goal lead to him. Think it was a mistake to sit back so much when Diaby got sent off, Van Persie withdrew completely and there was noone or nowhere to play the ball once Arsenal got to the half way line.
Djourou has become a massively important player for Arsenal, much calmer than Squillachi and Koscielny who are a disaster together, once he went off things went to pieces. All in all second half performance was shocking, Fabregas was nowhere to be seen.
Anyway, I’d have taken those outcomes this morning and the Invincibles continue to stand alone, I’m hitting the town tonight to celebrate.

Ah well enough of that unbeaten season. Its how they respond against City is important. Arsenal throwing a 4 goal lead away made todays loss bearable.
Good day for everyone really so, Wolves made my day bearable. More than bearable in fact, I’m happier with that shambles of a 4-4 and United losing than I would have been with an Arsenal win and a United draw.
The fucking state of all 3 Stoke goals today.
Only saw the second half but even then Arsenal were coasting right up to the first goal. And still afterwards there should have been no danger. They were well capable of playing the ball around and seeing out the match if they only showed enough interest in doing that but players hid and nobody took any sort of responsibility. Expected more from Fabregas to be honest.
Stop living in 2004 and get with today. Arsenal should be 2 points behind United and not 4 points. That wil cost Arsenal come May.
Judging by the highlights it looks as though Barton and Nolan bullied and piss all over Arsenal in the second half
