as the guy says ‘them are the facts’.
Lovely strike from Jamie O’Hara for Wolves today
A dinger of a strike alright. Am sure Mick will have him lining out for Ireland in no time.
Arsenal are going to win the Premier League by 5 points or more. Current form is fantastic and they are getting stronger - results since 1 January have been WDWWWDWW.
EXACTLY three years ago today I was in Edinburgh with the former Mrs. T watching them in the infamous tie with Birmingham at St. Andrews. They had just seen Eduardo have his leg smashed up by that thug Martin Taylor and had managed to come from a goal down to lead 1-2. I remember texting farmerinthecity to tell him that Arsenal had won the league after Theo Walcott put them in front.
I was wrong that time but I’m going to be right this time. United will take only 1 point from their games against Chelsea and Liverpool, Arsenal will assume pole position after these games and won’t relinquish it between now and the end of the season.
Sorry for ruining the excitement for everyone but that’s how it’s going to pan out.
Cesc tweaked the hammer last night, doubtful for Sunday now and beyond. Walcott definitely out Sunday and doubt for Nou Camp. Injuries are what have done Arsenal in past, could be the case again. That and how they react to upcoming possible defeats.
This is worse than when Dancingbaby ruined the Apprentice on me.
I did the predictor on the BBC website and sadly I agree with BT. I have Arsenal winning the league quite easily in the end.
Some news on the Arsenal vs United match
The Reds’ visit to the Emirates to face Arsenal has been moved to Sunday 1 May, KO 14:05 BST. However, should either side be in the Champions League semi-finals the following Tuesday, the game will revert back to Saturday 30 April, KO 12:45 BST.
Former Tottenham and Wolves defender Dean Richards has died after a long-term illness, it was announced today. He was 36.
Richards, who also played for Bradford and Southampton, was forced to retire from the game in March 2005 after suffering from dizzy spells and headaches while at White Hart Lane.
A statement on the Wolves website read: ‘Everyone at Wolves was saddened to hear of the death of Dean Richards, who passed away this morning at the age of 36 after a long-term battle with serious illness.’
United excellent record against Wigan looks to be extended, 3 up now…
4.0 now. United have to thank Van Der Sar for keeping them in it first half. Chicarito is so clinical in front of goal. Great that the goal difference has got a boost today.
Shan, what did Rooney do today…Heard he met one of the Wigan lads with an elbow
I think twas young Jimmy Mc.
Clattenburg saw it. He had a word with Rooney. That should be the end of the matter.
Didn’t even know he was sick, was always a superb signing in Championship Manager in the late 90s.
Anyone know what the illness was anyway?
Nope. I think he had a suspected brain tumour that forced him to retire but that was given the all clear a few years ago. Not sure if this was a related illness.
Read somewhere today it was complications from a bad inner ear infection that gave him very severe bouts of dizziness everyday, not sure if it was connected to the brain tumour from a few years back.
Cowardly belt, wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a ban for it…although he wouldn’t be a huge loss going on his form for the last 12 months
Stupid thing to do, completely unecessary. Wouldn’t agree about him not being a loss. Nowhere near the form he was in for the first 6/7 months of last season but still capable of wonder goals like the one against city.
Chelsea have declined to comment on reports that Ashley Cole accidentally shot a work placement student at the club’s training ground.
The News of the World claims Cole did not know the .22 air rifle was loaded when he fired at 21-year-old Tom Cowan.
It was reported that the sports sciences student, who is on a one-year work placement at Chelsea, was hit in the side by a lead pellet at the training ground in Cobham.
Chelsea’s medical staff reportedly treated the bleeding wound and Cowan did not require hospital treatment.
‘We never comment on internal matters,’ Chelsea said in response to the report.
on an unrelated note West Ham are a goal to the good against Liverpool
