2010 Division OneNational Hurling League Thread

O’Neill and Herity are the goalies. Both V good goalies. Would have been on the same minor/21 squads coming up with O’Neill the understudy until his last year u21 where he got ahead after Playing in goal for UCC and KK Intermediates… O’Neill was also on the Underdogs I believe. was third choice in 07 and then did a double cruciate. Herity was sub goalie last year. As i said both very good goalies and nothing really to separate them. Heritys brother Colin played u21 out the field with KK. McGrath is from muckalee I think

Its a total 50/50 match.

I think a draw could well be on the cards in this one.

It will go to the last five anyway. I think we need the win more than they do.

Taking into account that we are drawn the long side of Munster yet again, you’d have to question whether we need a League Final this year.

I wouldn’t mind if we didn’t get to a league final once a few of the younger lads get blooded. I think tomorrow could be an excellent game which could go either way. TT* i agree we need to win it more than kk.

Keaney is twice the loss Ross will ever be…i’d consider his brother Rory more of a loss for the future than ross too…very stylish centre back…

What time is the throw in for the Tipp V Kilkenny match tonight???

Kilkenny team to play Tipperary in the Allianz National Hurling League at Semple Stadium on Saturday night, throw in 7.30pm:

P.J. Ryan, Canice Hickey, Brian Hogan, John Dalton, Tommy Walsh, Jackie Tyrell, J.J. Delaney, Willie Dwyer, P.J. Delaney, Richie Hogan, Michael Rice, Aidan Fogarty, Michael Grace, Martin Comerfrod, Richie Power.

Substitutes: David Herity, Richie O’ Neill, James Ryall, John Tennyson, Damian Fogarty, Sean Cummins, Eoin McGrath, Paddy Hogan, John Mulhall.

KK to win for me after seeing that team

The snow is bucketing down in Thurles…

Great excuse for some traditional Tipperary hurling. If they ‘mistime’ pulls in high summer there’ll be plenty of opportunities tonight.

Regan fucking boils me!!!

Game delayed, looks like it might be called off now. Fairly pouring down snow now.

I hope the officials take the TFK Tipping contest into account when they make their decision.

Shards of ice

Not much hope of it being played anyway. Fair enough I suppose, if I was Brian Cody I wouldn’t be giving those Tipp cunts any extra excuses to break fingers either.

Hope it is called off, just so them tight cunts from tipp that travelled to the match will be raging about the waste of petrol…

Do they not have the undersoil heating on?

The stewards in Thurles are the laziest in the world, I wonder how they’re coping?

Ah for fuck sake setanta decide to repeat one of the worst games of hurling from lasy year…jesus wept

In fairness the game couldn’t have gone ahead… Although it looked like both Sheedy and Cody wanted it to go ahead. However the snow stopped about five mins after the game was called off. Its fine now out there now.

I wonder if it’ll be played on the Tuesday. It’ll be a big draw whenever it’s on so you’d think they’ll do their best to accommodate people. A Saturday night or a Sunday is surely the way to go.

I think the reason they are saying Tuesday is due to Free weekends. I dont think there is any weekend free from now until the league final. I could be open to correction though. Its free admission to the re-fixture.
