You’re right of course WTB, I’m just surprised McCrabbe was playing as the last I heard after the Wahurfurd game was that he was out for months. Great result for Dublin’s confidence though, a few short years ago, lottery or not, this is the kind of game they would have lost badly. Delighted for Anthony Daly.
Ah yeah, any team would be encouraged to beat this Tipp outfit by that score. Most importantly it was a quick correction after last week’s wobble, showing improvements in the right areas. The way it is with Dublin is that they’re constantly on the edge of a precipice. A bad league, relegation, and they could be back to where they started quickly enough. As I said last week, they have to be building towards a Leinster championship and beating a big gun or two in the championship. Only big, big high profile results will secure the ground they’ve made up.

True, sounds awfully like Wexford as well!
Daly drove up from Clare the Tuesday night after the Waterford defeat for Dublin training.
Went out to the lads on the pitch, told him he’s not going to break his hole driving up from Clare if they keep producing the shite like they did against Waterford.
He got straight back into the car and drove home to Clare.

I’d say he was seething for the whole length of that car journey, most likely steam emitting from his ears as he alighted from his motor.

Daly wouldn’t be into the amateur dramatics either so it must have been a fair kick in the arse for lads.
Seemed to do the trick anyway.

Yeah, exactly.
Twill only work the once though.
Just wtached the game again there on tg4. Dublin were superb in fairness to them. In fact some of their hurling was remarkably impressive for a county without any recent success. They’ll take huge encouragement from it but you’d wonder if they’re capable of putting in that type of performance without Daly lighting a fire under them. They’ll need to find their own motivation and leaders if they’re to go on and do anything.
Tipper and MI have been quiet today…
They’re negotiating with an old pal
did they say anything about the abysmal crowd?
They said your auld wan has worms
hopefully she didnt give them to your ma when she rode her last week then & guzzled shit into her mouth
No but they said your Ma stank of fish the smelly aul tramp
thats one of the downsides of fisting your ma i guess
Exactly. She could do with a bar of soap the aul slapper.

Tipperary and England losing the same weekend was bound to send Tipptops MIA
I didn’t get to see much today bar the second half of the Dublin-Tipp game. Tipp looked very, very flat and to be fair to Dublin the aggression was pouring out of them. Tipp had no response at all and it’s starting to look more and more like that is the way to beat them. Too many of their lads don’t seem to like it. Callinan is the prime example, he got pushed off the ball so many times I lost count today. Tipp are probably only targeting a few games of course and today wouldn’t have been one of them. That said it was a great response from Dublin in the aftermath of last week’s poor showing. Look to be capable of winning clean, primary possession in the half-forward line, if they can keep that up they might do something yet.
Tipperarys training schedule is not geared towards the March/April period. Judgement day for the likes of Tipp is reserved for the season of Autumn.
time to change that schedule following the failings of most of the past decade…
