The only thing i ever had to climb down off is a podium
Climbdown
Seriously, I have no idea what he’s talking about. Feel free to elaborate though?
Ah here. I thought it was obvious.
I won’t ruin Kev’s fun

Logging off? Wha? I’m waiting for you to explain this to me. Pretend I’m dim witted or something, pretend I’m caoimhaoin, that should do.
Ah here ! Just give over will ya.
A serious level of rattledness here.
Something for the rugby haters to get out of the thread.
Baffled.
Below is what I belive will be the squad for the WC, this is presuming that he goes for a 16/14 split as I believe it will be only 7 subs as opposed to 8 on the bench for the WC, if it is the latter he may well go for a 17/13 split with an extra prop being brought.
If the likes of Flannery, Kearney, D’Arcy & Ferris prove their fitness and form. If Kearney doesn’t make it then Jones or Murphy will be brought possibly Jones as he had an excellent finish to the season while Geordan himself has out of a while with a bad injury. If Kearney is fit and D’Arcy misses out I would still expect either Jones or Murphy to get his spot on the touring party. Big decision to be made with regards Stringer/Murray for the third spot as well, if Murray shows up well in these games he could well get the nod, O’Leary is far from nailed on either but barring him being miles off the pace and struggling big time he will be brought. Paddy Wallace will go as the third choice outhalf/third choice inside centre option as well.
As for the forwards, if Flannery and Ferris are fit and in any bit of form they will be brought and it would pretty much mean that there would only be two spots really up for decision, the fourth choice prop and whether you bring a 4th second row or an extra back row and use Ferris as a second row option or someone like Donnacha Ryan who can do a job in both areas. Have the feeling he will opt for Mick O’Driscoll but I hope not, I wonder would he bring Jennings as an extra backrower to provide cover at openside or will it be a case of moving O’Brien to 7 if anything happens Wallace and bringing Ferris back in at 6. Varley will get the third choice hooker spot if Flannery doesn’t make it

The Scots will surely bludgen their way to a victory here. Their pack should domnate, especially at scrumtime
Here’s hoping for an irish win and a positive performance though
Only 7 subs, so it should be a 16/14 split. The fact that he is looking at Ryan and probably McLoughlin as a 5.5 as they call it now, suggests he is going at 16/14 split. Your backs are close enough to what i thibk. I think he will take 2 of Jones, Kearney and Murphy. One of Fitz, Trimble and to a lesser extent McFadden will be left at home. TOL and Reddan are certainties. A toss up between the other 3 for the last spot, whoever plays the best in these matches deserves to go. I wouldn’t give TOL an automatic spot, but i’m sure Kidney will.
In the forwards it will be either Hayes or Buckley for the 4th prop spot. Ryan and McLoughlin will battle it out for the last lock position. Varley will be in if Flannery doesn’t make it. Jennings has to travel, we need an out and out 7 if things start to go wrong, will Kidney bring him is another story. Leamy will be left out i’d say if Ferris is fit.
McCarthy is a fair unit of a man
twice now Wallace has been targeted and didn’t make his tackles. he needs more help from Sexton
is buckley wearing fake tan or something?
No thats his complexion. he is always like that.
Says it all looking for the 10 to give the 12 a bit of help on defence. Id say McFadden is v disappointed not to be given a run out at 12.
Hes very sallow skinned. Not the fake tan type Id be fairly sure!
Very scrappy stuff here, pure pre season game. Scots look organised but not a whole pile of inspiration on show.
Ireland looking like exactly what they are a team needing game time. Kearney to his credit has looked sharp and eager for work for a lad that has missed the bones of a year with injury. Ronan and McCarthy have put in decent shifts as well but poor enough fare
