Palermo president Mauro Zamparini has claimed that Ricky Alvarez has already agreed to sign for Arsenal. Alvarez and Gervinho would be two great signings for Arsenal - you’d imagine that would mean Arshavin is off if both deals go through.

Keith Andrews is being linked to Nottingham Forest. Might not necessarily be a bad move for him despite dropping down a division. I think they’ll do all right under McClaren and he doesn’t seem to be in Kean’s plans at Blackburn.
Andy Reid also being linked with Forest. At least he might get a few games there.
Was meaning to post about Keith Treacy too. I think he has a bit about him based on the handful of times I’ve seen him play for Ireland. Preston have been relegated to League 1 and he’s being linked to Burnley strongly. I think he should hopefully get a good Championship club anyway.
Thought I saw something linking him to Newcastle but cant find it now. Sorry just checked-it was in the Mirror so probably made up. Would like to see him in championship at least, seems very decent.

Read last week that the fans absolutely hate him there because he squirted water at one of them who was giving him abuse, or some such nonsensical reason. I was a little surprised because he seems like a good lad who always gives his all. He’ll never be good enough to win them over (unless he starts scoring regular wonder goals perhaps) so a move is the only option for him. Definitely think he’s good enough for the top division if that useless cunt Whelan can do well in it.

To be honest after the transfer of Andy Carroll for 35 million, nothing surprises me.
