Cracking sport. Played it in national school and used to watch a bit of it on German satellite TV years ago. They had club teams which were quite well supported.[/quote]

Yeah it’s a big game there. Played it in secondary school.

My Montrose radio contact has informed me sailor Peter O’Leary is the individual involved in betting scandal.

Handball is biggish in much if Europe, especially eastern. In Italy it’s a big middle class sport.

It’s in the Indo. The bets were placed back in 2008. Looks like somebody is trying to stick the knife into Peter.

Peter the fall guy for Katie :shakefist:

Eoin Rheinisch {IRL} leading the way after 9 of 22 competitors in the kayaking. No just overtaken by a NZ lad.

Did adam nolan fight yet?

He’s on tonight at 10pm or so.

19 year-old Zulfiya Chinshanlo breaks the world record in the women’s 53Kg with a clean & jerk of 131Kg.

Haven’t seen it yet myself but can only imagine she is a looker too

Apparently the 16-year old Chinese bird’s last 100m in the swimming 400IM was quicker than yer man Lochte’s in the men’s equivalent race.

Well there’s not much love lost between the sailing crowd and Pat Hickey. Richard Burrows had a few attempts to oust Hickey as OCI President and they’ve no time for eachother. I’d put nothing past Hickey in terms of deviousness so he’d be well capable of timing this to piss off the sailing lads.

Hickey is one of the few people who could make the sailing crowd look like alright sorts in comparison.

anywhere one can watch the irish guys fights from yesterday?

And the commentators described Lochte’s Gold over Phelps 4th as the changing of the guard. The new guy replacing the old guy.

Both Phelps & Lochte are 27, and Lochte recently started wearing braces…

Not sure if Lochte does wear braces. Was that not a hip-hop style ‘grill’ he had on?

Have we had any boxers on today?

Nolan at 10 this evening.

What a wedding present for Marshall Kim as Om Yun Chol wins a surprise gold for the Democratic People’s Republic of North Korea in the 56kg weightlifting. That really is a huge surprise, he was nowhere after the snatch but gave as good a display in the clean and jerk as I’ve ever seen at that weight.

Great win in the swimming relay for France there, just getting up in the last 50 lengths to catch the yanks. America had led throughout. Micheal Pheps was going for his 18th gold medal or something didn’t look too happy with whatever lad it was who went last for them

Lochte went last - he’s the lad that beat Phelps last night in the IM.

Watching the Irish lass in the badminton now - what a fucking ridiculous activity. For fuck sake.
